They have said you can find players on their discord if you don't have anyone to play with, they are actively encouraging it. No match making though as far as I know, but it does have cross play if you have friends on different systems

Hazelight Studios games aren't really the kinds of games you wanna play with a rando. They're designed to be played with someone special in your life. Whether that be a good friend, your SO, your siblings - hell, maybe even your parents. They're not hard games to play. Go hit up mom and ask her if she wants to do something fun this weekend.

You can't play any of their last 3 games solo... technically.
You can't find randoms to play, and you wouldn't like it either.

You can however be a degenerate, like I did, and play these games with two controllers.
I like these games, but I don't like playing co-op. I just played A Way Out by myself, using Keyboard+Mouse on one character, and controller for the second. It's doable.
This game however, seems more fast paced, so I wonder if I will be able to pull this off.

you could play solo if you can do 2 controllers at once but other than that no you have to invite someone and play with them or who ever owns the game

there is no single player mode in this game, only co-op
there is no matchmaking but u can find players to play with on hazelight discord

People on the main discord, make a post that you only have friends pass or the main game and someone will reply to you to join their game within 5m. and there you go, enjoy having found someone to play with
