My use case would be playing with my kid or maybe partner. I own a 4090 pc & lots of pc handhelds like the legion go etc. My question is:
1) is friend pass something activated/redeemed per device? As in if I download the ‘friend’ version of the game say on multiple devices would that cause issues? Note I only ever plan to play local (lan) two devices at a time.
2) so a typical use case for me would be I play on my pc or my legion go and separately load this game on my deck and my kid’s deck for say camping trips. Will it exceed some sort of limi?
friend's pass is pretty simply, its exactly like owning the game except that u don't
any scenario that applies to playing with another player who owns the game will apply to playing with someone who have friends pass
there is no activation, there is no limit
its simply a nice thing from the creators of the game to not force u to buy 2 copies since there is no single play mode
so in your case u would install the game on all your devices and u can switch/swap/mix between them as u like and play on any of them as long as 1 of the devices is logged in with a steam account that owns the game
and if any of the devices is logged in with a steam account that is part of steam family group with your account that owns the game then u can even play with 2 of your devices that both don't own the game
so to make it more clear, u will be able to do anything u want on all your devices with no limits at all once u buy a single copy of the game
Do you know if the game will be included in the EA play pro day 1 (in the subscription) ?
iam not sure about ea play pro but i think there is a high chance it will be included in it as well
When inviting a friend to an online game, choose the EA Friends List option to access your in-game EA friends list. You can add a friend’s EA account to your EA Friends List from inside the game, and invite them for cross-play. To receive cross-play invitations, you must have Split Fiction running while signed in to an EA account within the game. If the EA Friends List option is not available, check that Cross-Play is enabled in the game’s Options menu (on PlayStation), or within your account’s privacy settings (on Xbox).
but u can also use 2 PCs if u want but u r gonna need 2 steam accounts which 1 of them owns 1 copy of the game and the other account on friends pass copy of the game
but when someone create a useful post like this he barely get any points
thx though for any1 who gave me points <3
