PC and Xbox Crossplay?

I am on PC and bought the game through Steam. My friend is on Xbox, downloaded the Friends Pass, signed into her EA account, but cannot join me. So, can PC and Xbox not play together?

You should be able to if you are both signed in on EA. It is advertise as being able to anyways.

We are both signed in but for some reason she is not getting the invites. I would assume the invites would pop up on her Xbox, but they are not.

When I sent the invite it would pop up so quick he couldn't accept it, BUT after i set up the lobby and was waiting for him (he was the one using the friend pass) he went into host game, he clicked invite friend from EA server, then when he clicked on my name in the EA friend list it gave him the option to join me, rather than host the game!

Hello, i was also having this same issue but i was able to resolve it. You need to make sure both accounts have separate ea account linked. After both accounts are signed into EA, you: play online > Host on EA servers > invite friend > (add EA friend if you haven't).

side note: I sent a friend invite through EA (from the PC) and the friend request popped up on the screen (of the Xbox). No additional steps were needed. after they were added as a friend on EA i followed the steps above.

This same thing occurred to me and after trying for 2 hours it didnt work and i checked all the forums, i owned the game and xbox friend had the pass. It didnt work so i decided to refund it.

Kind obvious but thanks for the tip. But when all of that is already in place, what would you suggest then?
