Steam version vs EA version - exclusive features?
Are there any unique benefits or perks available on the Steam version compared to buying it in the EA store, besides the standard features that apply to most games available in both stores (achievements, overlay, controller profiles, mod support)?

Perhaps different update schedules?

You don't need an EA account for the Steam build unless you are using crossplay.

Thank you for that info.
I was aware of that and it has nothing to do with my question.

Ok! So If you're playing the game On PC using Steam and want to play with another friend who is ALSO playing on PC using Steam... the EA Account isn't required?

If so, THANK GOD! And does that also apply to "It Takes Two?"

Because... EA ain't clear about how this BS works AT ALL.

EA being involved is the only reason I haven't bought it already. I have an EA account, but zero interest in ever using it again after what they did to Battlefield, NFS, etc.

Thanks for confirming, this game looks interesting.

Being able to play without making an EA account (which I have) in the rare instance that I might one day play offline (split screen with someone else in the same room) is not a feature or perk.
