Keeps saying my name is inappropriate

Every time I launch the game, I get a name inappropriate message, I’ve changed the name 3 times still the same message. I can log into the newer call of duty games this one just refuses to let me connect to the servers

Exactly the same for me. No idea why "cavemana" is inappropriate. Any other name I picked was not allowed either. I tried changing the name via the Activison website and now I can't change the name any more because there are no rename tokens left. I contacted support but they said they can't do anything about it.

I just opened a support ticket last night so I will see, but it seems crazy that this is not happening to everyone, I see people posting in here that they have no problem accessing the game

yeah they were basically no help just told me to do the typical stuff like verify the game files, and to change my name again despite me telling them 4 times the name lets me play on other call of duties, what a joke of a company

This is also happening to me. Is there really no way to fix this? I'm just going to refund the game if thats how theyre going to treat us.

Ive looked everywhere and can’t find anything, activision support was no help, unfortunately I missed the refund window otherwise I’d do the same. It’s weird to me that not everyone is having this issue tho

Activision is the worst of all publishers. I had the same problem, had 2 tokens, changed name 2 times both time inappropriate, all while starting the game for the first time, now i don't have any tokens to change name and I cannot log a ticket because I cannot find the link anywhere in activision support page. I tried internet solutions but none of them worked. I want my games to be played on just getting connected to internet, I don't want to jump these hoops (logging into publishers website and other ♥♥♥♥♥) just for starting the game the first time. Initiated a refund request today. Rockstar is far better at least once I login there I am able to play GTA online.

i may have found a fix but i wont be able to try for another 6 months cause i dont have any tokens, apparently if you open up call of duty hq and change your name on there then redownload mw 2019 it lets you in. But again i cannot test this until i get another token

Same issue, burned through my name change tokens without knowing it and support told to wait for 6mo for another opportunity to try. Finally on Activisoin.com I un-linked my steam account, created a new Activision account with some BS corpo safe name, reinstalled the game (not sure if this was actually needed but I had rage-uninstalled it before) and then got it working. But when un-linking steam account it showed a warning that un-linking possible only once in 12 months. Another arbitrary corpo BS but be warned just in case.

Try contacting support, they can afford additional token

Activision support was the most unhelpful people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing, the only support they gave was the equivalent to “have tried turning it off and back again”. Never once did they offer another token basically told me to pound sand and wait 6 months for a new one

Same for me, I just purchased the steam version since I want to get rid of battle.net. However, I keep get message "my name is inappropriate" "no rename token available"

Yeah it’s super annoying cause I bought the game in battle.net on sale just to see if it would work and my name works fine, and it’s works on bo6 and all the other call of duty’s
