Start the game in safe mode. To do that just keep clicking on start and stop from your steam library until a popup saying game not shut down properly do you want to start the game in safe mode. Click yes. Load the campaign first then you'll have to reconfigure your display settings. If you die the screen may go black for 30 - 40 seconds but it will restart.

Guys, someone says change to low graphic works, after you've entered the game, change it back to hq will do, im gonna try now, see if it works

the workaround to play campaign mode is to lower your texture resolution to low then allow the shaders to rebuild, THEN play campaign mode. once the level loads in campaign mode, only then should you change the texture resolution. there is a chance though that the game will not load the next level if the texture resolution is not at low when you clear a level.

Worked for me.

it's really weird bug even textures precashed it will not load the game untill you reduce texture resolution -> to LOW. I't will help, try. When game loaded you can increase graphic quality back.
Setting texture quality (options -> graphics -> quality -> texture resolution = VERY LOW)

Just downloaded, 150+ GB later the campaign won't start. How does a this many years old campaign break? Stupid online only content is a bummer.
