Investigation about the game crashes

Private investigation to solve that case. by Billy the Forsener:

Clues:

1. (Group 1) Aproximately a half of players (so far) was able to launch campaign. I checked that, what I have could, they earned achievements from campaign.
2. (Group 2) The other half of players is complaining (even after trying some fixes) that they were not able to:
-Launch story mode - but mp worked fine
-Launch the game - by ToS issue, nickname issue, and numerous Dev Error 6436 issues

Additional clues:
3. Some of the users from second group weren't open (so far) to mention their system versions and system specs.
4. A few of recent players mentioned they were able to fix that crashes by downloading all of the content of this game.

Possible conclusions:

1. The first group is telling the truth according to their proofs, resulting that game is possible to launch without any worries, what results as the other players are lying to bend the game rating.
2. The first group is not legit, presuming they have had hidden any info about the crashes, even when they were able to launch campaign (in some time), however for maintaining their good reputation towards the game they don't want to tell the truth.
3. Both groups are telling truth. The crash issue is a result of some random things occuring by numerous different cases mostly the thechnical problems in their PCs, net connections etc.
4. Both groups are lying. Spreading the chaos among the Activision's 'new releases' and spoiling the promotion of the games and their success on steam.
5. The 2nd group is telling the truth, however they have skipped to download all content before they started to post those problems threads. The game and campaign is still playable, when it has installed all the content.
6. It is the Activision that have released the faulty products, that behave abnormally on different users PCs. (further investigation is necessary to fully support this).

My conclusion (10th March 2023).

Both groups are telling the truth. The gamers from Group 1 had downloaded all DLC content and game parts that's they were able to play it. The other ones, were facing the known issues and crashes when they tried to launch the game, but they could have not installed all the content. Game is still possilble to launch in campaing mode.

CASE UPDATED:

After purchasing the game to find the truth by myself I actually ended up with.... everything working fine. I installed all the content, successfully accepted ToS, passed through loading shaders for SP and MP, everything updated, system up to date, and I must confirm that game works normally. Don't crashes. What results in case being more complicated...

So i heard that you need to install the co-op dlc. Some people put it out because they only want to play the singleplayer.

Maybe the crash is triggered by the shaders trying to load from the moment ToS shows up

Well, things are quite different. I bought it, cause I wanted to try it myself. It happens that all actually works fine, I accepted ToS, I passed through username and cod account creation, I launched that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign which is in fact an awesome. Call me a liar but see my profile and achievements that I have unlocked by progressing in story mode. Currently I passed Wolf's Den mission.
So now I think it's caused by random things? Or you guys are facing some technical, system problems that affect your experience with this game.

I reinstalled the version from Battle.Net. No problem launching from there, although it doesn't save the caché on the main menu. The problem still from here, on Steam.
If Activision doesn't fix this on the next few days, I'll refund this piece of ♥♥♥♥

This is not the case. MW2 & Cold War work fine and literally every other game I've ever played (I have a lot of games)

I have a 1080Ti & i7-9700

MW and Vanguard are broken on Steam for me and a lot of others

I know there are problems for some of you. But for some there aren't such problems. That's the point. So I tried myself to find out.

i used to came across the crash issue, after 2 days of purcchasing, it works perfectly in all mode ( campaign, mp and etc). But eveyrtime i play gta 5 from epic launcher and then i click play modern warfare, the game resulting in crash/ wont even start. Therefore, i have to restart my pc again then it works fine

The game behaves differently on many PCs, that's for sure. If this isn't caused by luck and random things or PC specs, drivers etc. then maybe it's a region that is affecting what version you download.
I have installed all content available, and I have waited till all shaders were downloaded, and I was good to go.

I get this error called DEV ERROR 6036 at the splash screen. and I check the integrity of the game and it shows I have failed to validate 912 files and proceeds to download 96gb of files. I've done this 3 times already

Did you paused it, stopped it, and came later ?
