Battle.net? Online-only?
Does it require that launcher? Is it online-only for single player here?
Only answer if you know for sure.

P.S. And where's MW2 Remastered?

Not asking for hearsay or guesses.

From my understanding you do not require Battle net whatsoever however you do need an Activision account and will have to link that to your Steam account.

I am actually quite tempted in picking up this game and maybe Cold War too. I already have them on Battle.net but would much rather it on Steam and have also been trying to find confirmation if it is always online like on Battle.net.

If so then it will be a hard pass since that has been one of my major gripes with the most recent COD's.

Having to have the entire game restart since your internet went out for a split second in an offline singleplayer campaign sucks not to mention that if one day Activision shut the servers down we may never be able to access it again.

Some of us haven't played since before then because CoD died long, long ago.

it being on another platform doesn't mean it died, only that you chose to ignore its existence

Zero Battle.net required. Activision account 100% required along with always online connection.

On PC it's been online only since 2018 with BO4. On Xbox and PS it's been online only since 2023 with MWII. So technically you can play these games offline but only on console.

Was gonna get this for $20 but screw that. Hate the always-online BS. That's just scummy.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
