General guidelines for the point you're at:
- Having more attacker units is always better than any other benefit a pact can give you. Prioritize having more attackers over anything else. The gossip pact is very good early on for this reason. The Festival, Witch Squad, and Nachiroux's Pacts are also good.
- Famyus have terrible physical stats and should never be attackers... with the exception of if you're using a Cat Pact, since it's possible to get their stats up to a respectable level with that. Even then, that's just usable, and still not as good as a pact that gives you more attackers, but it'll do until you've got enough 2 or 3-attacker pacts to fill out the whole party.
- Magia Maids are obviously great at magical damage -- but remember that most of your active donum come from your pact, not your facet, so make sure you put them on a pact that has good attack donum (Mage Pact is good early on) and give them all of your best +DMP gear and they'll do great a nuking things.
