Ladder can be fun, and Conquest, well a nice place to experiment with your decks.
To me, the monetization and card acquisition are more in line with gacha formulas, than pure fun. One of the issues with gacha digitized card games, is everything else is a distraction from the actual game itself. Where I disagree is that SNAP the game is really bad. Its not.
Its merely convoluted with what you don't need.
All these card games, are fine as games, but gacha truly takes away from the game itself and AI implementations can take away from the FUN aspects of a game.
You look at the LOT store and you just cringe. Especially since SNAP for its collection methods is merely a SKIN CARD game.
I have posted how the monetization must change. I have asked you all how you would like the card acquisition system to alter. There are rumors that they will be implementing a excess variant exchange system. Meaning taking your 11 variants of the same card and doing something with them, but unless they alter this acquisitions system. It will not matter, because they will gear it towards the gacha element of the game.
Force you to waste resources to utilize it and make THAT a grind to get ONE card you don't have.
I agree with you SI on two points.
1. They must change this system
2. They must add modes that are fun to the players and not be some design to gain money.
Dead pool's Diner is very salvageable. Simply Simplify it, don't make it that End Game players can stop your progression, and if you truly want your players to have those resources. Then give it to them in an easier manner. Players don't mind a challenge, but don't get stupid with it and they got stupid.
Peace
For me, Arishem is good because it can surprise you, you need to adapt to what the RNG throws at you. Otherwise, game is boring.
But I'm end game, been playing since start, with a full collection, not very win-focused. Your take may be different.
