MARVEL SNAP

MARVEL SNAP

Do Any of You Really Still Care About Your Cube Ranking?
I've been playing for upwards of going on 2 + years now, honestly don't remember when I started. But I'm to the point now where I just play to complete my dailies and simply ... play to collect new cards.

Have upwards of 11k collection level and at this point, I just play to enjoy the crazy combinations of cards and finding something off the wall to pull off in a match or two.
Try something new, do something off the wall and let you have your 8 cubes when they matter so much to you.

I've been up to 100+ when I really tried and have done so, And I get up to 80s on the regular without even trying or caring how my matches go as long as it completes my dailies. (I don't play meta decks)

I mean, with collector's chests, tokens and keys - it really isn't that difficult at this point to get all the new cards each month. (or most of)

But I guess I've always been a casual sort and care more about simply playing and collecting than climbing the ladder.

How long have any of you been playing? And are you still that hardcore to get to 100 or hold onto your 100+ ranking every "season"?

Rank going up doesn't fill me with joy, getting shiny new variants and the right combination of effects to match the card art fills me with joy.
don't care about cubes but if D-heads try snapping me turn 1 i just leave, no cubes for them.

I've been playing since a couple months after launch. 19k Collection Level, have hit Infinite, have not bothered with infinity conquest. Can confirm the Snap mechanic is dumb and I hate it.

I'm not saying I don't care about winning, I just don't care to gamble on the outcome. From someone that's hit Infinite I can confirm that the reward isn't worth the effort if you find it stressful. I do think that it's worth it to grind out level 90 tho. 500 gold is worth it.

They need a game mode that is either High Voltage or something similar that's available all the time. Just minus the many bugs that came with it. Sheesh.

Do not really care about it, play for fun mostly if I get things from it while playing that's just a plus.
I'll push to infinite for the rewards, but beyond that, meh. And I don't even stress too much over that. Honestly, it's the best way to play. Remember it's just a game and not worth sweating over.

And the snapping is fine. It's a core part of the game. Don't like it, go play something else. Do you also whine about people who raise in Poker? ( Directed at some of the replies, not OP )

Well as someone that's played a whole lot of poker, no of course not. The problem is those two things aren't comparable. Snap has a game with an objective built in, win two lanes. There's so much that's possible with all of the card abilities, location effects, and the core game objective. Snap without the snapping has a whole lot of game left. Having a mode that uses the snap mechanic would be fine if it weren't the primary game mode. I like Dead Pools Diner in fact.

Poker on the other hand is just a game of high hand. That's it. Without betting poker isn't much of a game. However when you add bets and betting structure, rounds of revealed shared cards like in Hold'em or Stud, well now you have a game. Betting makes poker a game, Snap doesn't need the bets, or like Dead Pool's Diner it's better when they add more structure to the betting.

You're way oversimplifying poker to the point where I find your claim of having played a lot of it to be dubious. "High hand", sure, but there are a LOT of ways to get the high hand. I also don't see why it's even remotely relevant how much more "game" there is without the snapping.

yea, its always worth it for that.

I've been getting to 100 every season the last 4 or 5, but cant even get to mid 80's so far currently.

Anyone else else struggling this season?

I just care for 90, and dont after that.
Personally I just like to get the infinity card back, so I hit infinite when I can and then confine myself to Conquest until the next season starts.
I like hitting infinite I play card games to be good at them so rank matters to me.

I like to get the gold at 90 and the card back if it's a good one. It hasn't been good for a while now (and how many do I really need with the 20 deck limit?) but I tend to hit Infinite anyway most seasons.

Also this. Even when my last daily is to win a location with less than 10 power I still tend to play to win instead of retreating just to get it done.
