MARVEL SNAP
Deuteronomy 24 MAR a las 10:42
People who rope and don't give up in proving grounds
Wasn't this an unwritten rule once, to not tf waste everyone's time in proving grounds?! I have matches and matches in proving grounds where people rope out more than once, don't give up until they lost all points and stuff.

Why are so many people so annoying?

Some of the absolute worst people in this community are about to ask you why you don't just quit the match and give those people their points and reward them for roping you.

Human beans.

This subject has already been discussed multiple times on these forums. Both sides have good reasons and you can't force anyone to play like you want, no "unwritten rule". Just grow up.

Toxic.

How exactly is it "not being grown up" when asking for a gaming community which esteems each others time, especially in a game triggering FOMO?

You can't force people to play the game the way YOU prefer, this attitude is childish and selfish. The game rules are simple, you can snap or not, you have the CHOICE, just stop forcing people (whatever the way you want).
How is it toxic to play the game as intended? You are creating your own issues.

some people's times just aren't worth as much as others

Sorry, what's the good reason for roping?

To answer your question, NO it is NOT a "unwritten rule." People are playing within the rules of the game. If you don't like it, you have the opinion not to play. It doesn't matter if you think those people are annoying. To quote The Dude, "Yeah, well, you know. That's just, like, your opinion man."

... what? I feel like one of us doesn't understand what roping is. How are they creating their own issues when the other player is roping repeatedly? How are they being selfish by not enjoying waiting around? This isn't the kind of thing that SD can disallow without negatively affecting everyone so in this we, the community, are very much allowed to collectively condemn this behavior.

I rolled my eyes at Dodon's initial response but way to prove them right.

There simply is NO such "rule". People are free to play the way they prefer and that's a good thing. Some may rush to waste no time, others may even want to learn from a defeat. Where is your problem?

If you get annoyed so easily by waiting a bit in a free-to-play game, maybe the real problem are not the other players.

i agree with this person. Its has been covered before, if you still have to ask 'how' or 'why' go read the other posts about this topic ya derps.
its just another scream for attention, to put light on the subject and, once again, attempt to make people live by their words like 'roping' or 'boomersnap'. Zoomers and their vocabulairy.... they dont know better than these words and think the whole world lives by this xD they still need to wake up.
While the real issues in the game, like the black screens and splits not showing, is what should be talked about.
This topic is a yawn, and i shouldnt even pay attention to this.

There's an official timer, it's not cheating or anything forbidden. Players have the right to think during this time, perhaps some players need more time to think about a strategy. It seems that OP is a totally impatient person, I wouldn't be surprised if he has ADHD like all teenagers these days. You seriously need to calm down about that timer, it's a normal thing in a card game and it's even much longer in TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic.

Mate, they can learn from their defeats with the next proving grounds opponent - without losing anything. The only thing they'd lose would be to steal their opponents time.

Lol. I'm 42 yo and I have limited gaming time bc I have a life, like I'm sure most of you have, too. Therefore I would love to put this little time to good use. Your "diagnosis" is just another toxic addition to this thread.

On the one hand you people tell me "yeah, that's only your opinion, don't tell us what to do", while in the next sentence you tell me I have to have mental issues to have an other opinion and to ask for a non-toxic community, supporting each other and making everyone's game time more fruitful.

The fact that even in the forums people have absolutely no problem to shamelessly say "yeah, fu, we don't care for other people's time, if the game allows us to cheese on lost matches, we will do..." has convinced me to stop playing. I can accept that the game design is sometimes toxic bc of economic desicions, but well, if the gamers themselves have fun pressuring each other... that's a nah for me, even I have invested a good bunch of time and money into the game.

Have fun harming each other, I hope you won't get out of victims for this behavior while it seems to bring you that much joy.

Bye and thanks to all the people which I had quick, fair matches against <3

This wouldn't be a problem if the devs just made proving grounds 1 game only, and added ways to prevent roping in general.
