MARVEL SNAP

How did they not ban Gauardians?
Seriously the game mode has become play guardians or lose at this point and we’re less than 24 hours in….

I've won a lot of games using GoG cards. It's super predicatable.

Turn 1-4 doesn't matter. Literally just play on the non sanctum locations and you win against gog

how did they not ban the guardians? in the game mode where both players compete for the same location each turn? yeah dude i don't know.

This is pretty much it. The deck I'm using doesn't usually get cards out until turn 3/4 and guardians decks haven't been a problem. Doombot is the card that left me wondering how it avoided the ban.

edit- Actually, looking at the list it doesn't look like anything's being banned for being OP, just stuff that has end of match triggers, disables location effects or puts cards on the opponent's tableau.

The Juggernaut ban is the weirdest one, imo, because they still leave things like Negasonic and Cannonball. I just want to know what SD's reasoning was for Juggernaut specifically that made him an outlier.

Did they accidently confuse him with Rhino? lol
I do think it's a shame that the community is so unoriginal and will play what everyone else plays just to win. Guess we shouldn't be too surprised that this mode has now become competitive instead of different fun decks. Gamers will always optimize the fun out of something.

It's the Scroll mechanic.

To me, the best event Snap has had is still High Voltage, because that mode didn't have "limited plays" and you didn't actually lose anything for just queuing up and losing. It was a time-limited event, but you were basically guaranteed to get everything as long as you beat your missions (and honestly, even if you missed a day or two.)

This event is better than Deadpool's Diner to me, because at least I can pick my rewards, but it still runs into the same problem of being time-gated and discouraging experimenting.

fr they gotta stop with the "win or you get locked out of the mode" philosophy

I fully expect Negasonic and Cannonball will make the list next time. It's just like High Voltage and the diner, the list gets amended over time. I think Juggernaut got banned because it punts cards before they can go off.

I know I don't play as much as some folk, but I've put 2-4 hours in over the last couple days and been completely unable to play down my scrolls unless I actively try to throw. Maybe it will change now I'm done Twitch drops, but even then I only dropped to 10 scrolls once.

Of all the lockouts, this is the least challenging.
The guardians aren't overpowered, but I am utterly sick of seeing them already and they are ruining the mode. Nearly every game its the same cards and same play patterns. It's just gotten repetitive, mind numbing, and boring. All of the unoriginal morons playing Guardians are making it a drag for everyone.

That's only how it feels initially because you get a bunch of bonus scrolls from Twitch drops and stuff. But after that, you only get them if you win, or buy them. So unless you have a 100% win rate, you will run out unless you barely play the game

I was hoping the same. Unfortunately, per Glenn in the discord about banning cards in Sanctum:

Juggernaut's particular strength on last-turn Sanctums was the concern, not that it moves enemy cards--plenty of other legal cards do that. Cannonball will have to prove he deserves a ban, our testing wasn't conclusive enough to ban it in advance.

Generally speaking, the bar for banning a card in advance is high. We want the maximum number of cards available.

What boggles my mind is I think Jugg is more fair than Cball. Being that you have agency to actually play around it by trying to fill your lanes. Cball just says **** you and there's nothing you can do other than Cosmo.
