Captain Anti-America
How could you bring this trash into the game? Anthony Mackie hates America. He actually said "To me, Captain America represents a lot of things and I don't think "America" should be one of those representations".

I'll be skipping this phase. Wake me up when you stop supporting anti-American hatred.

Sorry, is the card "Anthony Mackie Captain America"? Am I misreading the text?

He's right though. Cap isn't representative of just America as is. He's representative of the ideals it was built on, that being the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Hell, Steve Rodgers's Cap in both the comics and films went directly against the US government on multiple occasions because he didn't agree with what they were doing.

You're mad about a guy actually understanding the character instead of just going off of surface level assumptions.
Would you prefer that he not know one of the deeper aspects of the character and just be some flanderization?

The irony in having a Joker profile picture and advocating for boycotting hatred lol

Disney always aim to their majority of 13 yrs old audience, so the idea of DEI Cap murica is not going to protect America if their orange hulk president is unethical or turned bad. So its that simple like that so their young teen viewers can understand it without too much thinking about politic or country.
If you think "Hail Hydra" was desperately out of place for Cap (statistically, you did and you did so much), Hydra running America shouldn't be the thing that changes your mind.

This is also such a Nothing Burger because, again, the card is Sam Wilson, not Anthony Mackie, and Sam Wilson was handed Captain America's shield waaaaay back in 2015, a whole nine years ago, and a whole four years before it happened in the MCU.

To be fair if you listen to a bit more of the interview it's clear he's just a profoundly stupid person in general, so there isn't much point in listening to him at all.

In fact, as a general rule, those people have a job to pretend to be someone else and just exist to amuse you - if you stop caring about any of their opinions at all you'll be happier in the long run.
Why are you giving this person attention

Because I want an excuse to spout comic knowledge and this was an easy way to get that

OP shouldn't confuse the actor for the character, others shouldn't confuse a PR line the actor was instructed to incorporate to help market the film to international audiences as some deep character analysis.
