MARVEL SNAP

MARVEL SNAP

Snapping sucks.
I can't stand the dynamic. The game could be fun except that some stranger is pushing you to snap before you even get a card out. The illusion of winning anything with snap dynamics is also very grating. You have all these cards that do things and half the time you are just trying stuff out, but it's timed and you could lose up to 8 points if you just comply. It's a horrible system for new players. So, snapping is crap. Nothing makes me more upset in this game than a punk who just snaps before anything comes out. You get nothing from that. I quit. Whoopee. Enjoy your two points. The game itself is kind of fun, just why is it timed? 3 minutes or you lose? This game doesn't need that added dynamic. I also hate bots mixed in with humans. The whole interacting thing always feels weird. Send an emote and get nothing back. It's a bot. Brings down my entire game. I'm thinking this game just isn't for me. Snapping ruins it for me. One last thing. Why do card combinations of comic book centralized teams just fail? Anyone ever tried just X Men? It's an underpowered mess. Just spider-man characters? Not very good either. Ever tried the Invaders? Ah I bet not cause none of those characters help a hand together. It's just a let down. Ok, that's off my chest, sorry for the gripe.

Complete opposite problem on my end: everybody I play against only snaps on the last turn. Nobody is brave enough to snap before their game-winning card. I honestly get more cubes on average just snapping early and scaring people into leaving, it's kind of dumb.

I agree people play too cautiously
Snapping only when you know you are winning is just to force the opponent to quit early, saves my time.

Many people stay for two so you're just robbing yourself of an extra cube

Snapping is probably my favorite thing about the game. I want to snap in every card game I play now. I'm already gambling with my card draws, let me gamble with my opponent on our winning chances.

Yes you can play snap without engaging with the mechanic outside of quests, but knowing when you have an advantage and pushing that advantage is the essence of card games. Having a way to leverage that even further to increase your winnings when you're confident is just cool.

I will say that "proper" snapping is very hard to learn and you kinda have to have a good idea of what your opponents are doing which is another knowledge gap you have to get over, but it is an overall positive. Snapping means I can grind ladder to get my rewards in half the time if I use my snaps well then mess around for the rest of the season.
Snapping is laughable, honestly. But when you've been playing for 2+ years or so - just start to chuckle when someone decides to snap and start egging me on. I generally just let people win to enjoy their cubes and have high thoughts about themselves.
I usually get up to 70s and 80s without even caring how my matches go

Just give it time and don't jump to it. the more you play the more you learn cards and can start to predict what people are going to play, how and where. If you are really that concerned about climbing the ladder system just be patient and sit back and learn it.

No idea how long you've been playing, assuming you are new. just give it time, it is intended to take awhile, you won't get every card in two weeks.

Once you get to 3k or 4k collection level you start to get more and more free cards on the regular - about once a month I think. On top of your collection level cards you can earn via chests and keys. The game is all about getting collection level and upping the rarity of existing cards to gain collection points.
Don't worry so much about cubes - they are simply there as a bait for ladder climbing.
If someone snaps, or is egging you on, just ignore it and play or leave the match.
