MARVEL SNAP

MARVEL SNAP

Snapping sucks.
I can't stand the dynamic. The game could be fun except that some stranger is pushing you to snap before you even get a card out. The illusion of winning anything with snap dynamics is also very grating. You have all these cards that do things and half the time you are just trying stuff out, but it's timed and you could lose up to 8 points if you just comply. It's a horrible system for new players. So, snapping is crap. Nothing makes me more upset in this game than a punk who just snaps before anything comes out. You get nothing from that. I quit. Whoopee. Enjoy your two points. The game itself is kind of fun, just why is it timed? 3 minutes or you lose? This game doesn't need that added dynamic. I also hate bots mixed in with humans. The whole interacting thing always feels weird. Send an emote and get nothing back. It's a bot. Brings down my entire game. I'm thinking this game just isn't for me. Snapping ruins it for me. One last thing. Why do card combinations of comic book centralized teams just fail? Anyone ever tried just X Men? It's an underpowered mess. Just spider-man characters? Not very good either. Ever tried the Invaders? Ah I bet not cause none of those characters help a hand together. It's just a let down. Ok, that's off my chest, sorry for the gripe.

I mean.... You really don't get why it's timed? They're supposed to be quick games. That's the entire point of the way the game is designed. No one wants to sit there and wait 10 minutes on your ass to make a play. The time limit is more than generous.

As for snapping, it's a bit of gambling. It's not for everyone, fine. But most people don't seem to have a problem with it.

There are bigger, more objectively problematic issues to focus on. These, though? They're integral parts of the game that it was designed around.

That and making you think that you have to pay 10 bucks every month to get more cards. Or another 5 bucks if you want the stuff below the free line, or making your cards look prettier, or wasting your time with pointless rewards like titles and avatars. The game doesn't need the anxiety of gambling and make a decision quick for as complicated as it has become. Like them all you eventually hit the not fun anymore wall, and decide if you should even bother. Eh, I guess it's just a let down to try and play a game that feels like no one is playing, or getting spammed thanos snap icon just because you want to play one card by a impatient player who probably has hacked the game, and wants to just steal all of the glory of an empty reward system. This is my second time with this game and I'm a little annoyed that i spent more than 20 bucks on it. I have a weak synergistic roster with a ton of cards that just don't work together. I've tried several combinations and for the most part the only one that really did much of anything was Agatha Harkness which I don't actually play. You have to go with the make a deck selection, because anything you try and build is unbalanced and trashed by an AI that knows what's coming. It's a sad joke for a comic book fan who just wanted to relax and play. I guess I'm done then. It's not for me. It feels lifeless and just frustrating.
i snap before anyone draws a card as i need and want the points to rank up
I don't even snap anymore unless it's for a quest, over 15k collection level i don't really push infinity. Spend more of my time experimenting with deck comps.
if opponent snaps turn 1 he 100% has a combo deck with the combo in hand, like wiccan.

ppl only snap if they r 100% sure they will win, so theres letterly no point in staying against early snaps if u don't have a highroll combo yourself ready.

Nah, I auto-snap turn 1 when I've got a mission to win games with a snap. Then again I'm not obsessed with climbing rank fast so I don't care too much if I lose points.

To OP: I've found it's a much more enjoyable and relaxing game if you don't give a crap what your rank is and just play to kill time.

I think it may be a fair assesment that the game named after its main mechanic might not be for you of you dislike said mechanic
Dude it sounds like you cant make a decision. Snapping is for decisive people I have a two card combo that is powerful in my opening hand? Snap. used to be common back in the day if I drew sentry/annihilius, If you are good with the snapping mechanic you can literally have a negative win rate and still climb. Its a fun mechanic.

Its like Poker. Some guys say, you should rise a most as possible even before the cards are revealed, but that's only senseful if you got the most money on the table.

The proper way to use cube equity is to snap before you make a winning play because you think your odds of winning are higher after making the play. The worst way to snap (which a ton of people do, even the bots do this) is to snap after you're already winning.

I understand your gripes but people do get too attached to "snapping" being a personal attack as if it's checking your ego and hits you emotionally. The opponent snaps because they think they are going to win, not because they're being a jerk.

Your other gripes make perfect sense though. The lack of synergies with certain comic book characters don't seem to be great but that's just the way it is.

Same here. After playing the game for a year, I've learned to remind myself, it's just a damn game who gaf about rank. I used to get extremely tilted when I was new but I advise newer players to relax and understand this game has a lot of RNG and a lot of people are actually good at this game. You don't deserve to win all the time.

the "snapping before u win" just doesn't work in this game. after 1 or 2 cards your opponent knows exactly what deck you're playing and what to expect and already knows if he can win from the snap or not.

and if if opponent snaps before turn 3 u just know he has some heavy combo in hand like Wiccan and theres no point in following him into that play.

Willing to bet you're probably just snapping after it's already obvious you're winning
i only snap vs bots cause its just a stupid and useless mechanic now.

Then why play this game, it's the main mechanic with regards to the game itself. Not sure why you're even wasting your time with a game you do not enjoy, that's insane.

Then play something more original. Its amazing how many people will see the beginning of a perfect hand for one of my custom decks and snap. Most of the time they realize their error by the end and retreat, but it's always fun.
