Is Thanos worth it?

I have Thanos pinned and I have 5800 Tokens.
I ask this becouse I have been able to win most of my games against Thanos decks and It does not seems to be that usefull/powerfull nowadays. I recently got Electro and Wave, so maybe i can get Galactus Instead.
Or maybe wait for the Living Tribunal?
What do you guys think?

It depends on several things, mainly on what you are looking for. If you like the playstyle and versatility of the card it's well worth the Tokens. Some might say it's always worth it as it is perpetually in S5, but when it's collecting dust I doubt it will feel that way.

If you are looking for pure power you might want to wait for High Evo to come out and pick the one of the three (Thanos, Galactus, High Evolutionary) deck defining big bads that suits your playstyle the most.

Personally I pick up every new card I think will be interesting to play and the ones that are "best in slot" for climbing with the optimal deck, but that's just my take on the matter.

Yeah I trully don't know what i am looking for, maybe play Thanos with a destruction deck, and maybe with ongoins too.

Grinding this many tokens, as a F2P, took me 3/4 months, playing everyday to complete missions and getting higher in the competitive.

High Evolutionary seems cool but I don't know If It's a card that I would use a lot, but the living tribunal seems a lot better (personal opinion ofc)

I'd recommend to watch some streams on Twitch. That way you can see some (usually) rather good players use the cards you are uncertain about before having to spend the Tokens.

I can recommend DeraJN, KMBestMS, RevisMS, MoyenHS for top tier decks and if you are more into the "not quite the best, but very fun" decks Dekkster, Bynx_Plays, OrdinaryHarry are very good choices. There are many others, but these are the ones I usually prefer to watch.

Of his suggestions only Kmbest and DerajN are actually anygood imo. Educatedcollins is boring as hell commentary wise, but he tends to climb much much higher then any of these. But hes also pretty much stuck in bot mmr every season too because hes so good.

Looking from the opportunity cost perspective, buying Perma pool 5 cards like Thanos are always a good deal since they will never be cheaper than they are, regardless if they are any good.

That being said I would wait for high evolutionary that has being confirmed as a "big bad"(thus permanent pool 5) and has the potential to be a meta defining card.

Now my 2 cents about the card: it's decent and opens up another gameplay perspective. This season I climbed to infinite with a galactus + Thanos deck and it was quite enjoying and unusual.

I heard High Evo is going to be perma series 5 "big bad", so High Evo and Thanos should be your 6k token considerations imo.
High Evo is a bit more limited in scope of decks. Honestly, if he's still a 4/7 you won't need to go all-in on his synergy cards to make him a fair inclusion. I think people are kind of overcommitting to the synergy cards in their speculation.

Like you can just High Evo + Thing for Zabu discounts, and then put in a few cheap ones like Wasp and Misty, maybe Shocker, and I think that is well more than enough value from High Evo to be the stat meat for half a deck.
Likewise, you can Thanos + autofill just about anything.

They might not keep the big bads permanently in series 5 for 6k tokens, they have said they were meant to be doing a rework on the economy when high evo came out but they were unfortunately not ready, and they clearly have stated they may not keep them in series 5 permanently.
