Don't get your hopes up just yet.
The latest event only gives a bonus to the top 10. Doesn't look like they want the masses playing for extra rewards, just the few who will pay the most.
Aero/Magneto is simply being able to play your deck correctly. Most Kazoo decks have 2 lanes filled by the end of Turn 5 so the opponent can't pull Onslaught or Kazar away. Of course, an even harder counter to trying to stack all your ongoings in one lane is Enchantress, which is Pool 2. That's the gamble you take with that strategy. Splitting up your ongoings in different lanes has less high end power, but is a lot more consistent.
I have every Pool 3 discard card except Gambit. When discard decks work, they steamroll just about anything. Problem is, they're highly RNG dependant and give away a ton of hand/deck knowledge. You pretty much hang back and watch for key cards to get discarded. If they snap and have a big Apoc and/or you haven't seen Hela, retreat.
SM/Absorbing Man and/or SM/Moon Girl with Zabu are problematic for everyone. Your best bet is to Cosmo a lane.

Negative decks are pretty much reliant on getting Psylocke in their hand by Turn 2 to ramp and Negative himself in their hand by Turn 3. They're great when they work, but are terribly inconsistent.
There are ways to play around Leader if you know your opponent has him, but odds are, you won't. That's the issue with Leader.
Not much you're doing there. If you see Wolverine on the board, your opponent has an empty lane, and they ramp on 4, retreat.
One thing I am not much of a fan of is playtime meaning little to nothing in terms of progression. I had this very same issue in Diablo Immortal where I was enjoying the game, but once you hit the wall it felt pointless to try and contend to a certain level. I love the game and will keep struggling my way through pool 3-5.... just wanted my experience shared to see if I was alone in how I felt.
Ya well there has to be a wall where you need start paying, otherwise no game would exist. I see f2p as a trial run to see if you want to subscribe to a game. I buy all the season passes for Snap, you should support the game saying as the devs put alot of time, effort, and other investments into making the project.
I will support the game, but not at a constant just to get pool 5 cards.
