Nah this didn't work for me either.
The update might have caused some corruption in your files, it sometimes happens with live service games. If your account is linked to google or apple then try to verify the integrity of the files and see if it fixes it. If your account isn't linked to a google or apple account you'll need to link it first. Basically it's a repair and since your data for SNAP isn't stored in the Steam cloud if do a repair or reinstall the data won't be there anymore, that's why it's important to make sure your account is linked first.
