MISERY
The Symbiotes continue to spread their ooze as Misery, enters into October's scary month. Will you gain cubes or feel miserable in its inclusion. I did this a day early.
Oct. 8th-15th

This is to discuss the cards themselves and I always caution 1-key and to build those keys up to a minimum of 3, 4 or more, and not to go more than 1-key if you can help it. A vital resource to maintain. You decide, no one should be telling you to use this resource. Stick to the discussing the cards and stay on topic.

MISERY: What exactly is the miserable lady trying to do here. Simply give you a Wong effect and replace Wong's power of 2 for 7. However, since Wong on curve usually has impact from turns five to seven. Here you are more capitalizing on key lower cost on reveals in play that could have some strong double whammies. I can see Junk, Clog, Disrupt having a field day with this card. Yondu, Silver Sable, Kate Bishops, White Widows, and a ton of 3-costs just going off and then simply have a seven power to that opposing lane. If you think of the deck construct in two parts, early game, late game. Misery could be trouble early, and be a Nola late to devastating effects in Destroy, Discard, On Reveal dependent effects, but has clear drawbacks. On Curve for one, alone irrelevance for another, right in Cosmos-Mystique combination's effect and could backfire you don't calculate the end result of the two lane differentials in power. Armor is an interesting card here. Keep in mind more cards coming that could make Misery more impactful and players can get creative combinations like an Elektro, Leech, Sandman, or whatever priority On Reveal they wish to execute.
New entry by Mello and Ryan, but a niche card that will be very hard to predict on entry.

Subject to change, but if they stay as is.

NAMORA- Ranked 161, with a good win/rate at 55% on the nose and clearly a when played card with good cube shares is a good middle range deck construct, but difficult to pull off at high ranks. With Clog, Power, and predictability that keep her minimized in the meta. However, her deck constructs are flexible to two prong themes that decks to be creative without her impact in a game. Her dependency with Wong and now Misery coming can be very frustrating to players if she does not pop. She could get you to infinite, but up top, her main theme is not strong enough with a theme that can easily be disrupted. If you don't have Namora, a fine grab to try and have some fun with. I like the idea of Namora, just wish she had a much broader impact. A new variant entry by Arthur Suydam

WAR MACHINE-Clearly struggled on his inclusion, but his buff has given him a much broader ability that is dangerous if you don't deck read. Originally ranked 197, now down to 94 with an excellent on play win/rate of 57.4% and good cube share, but his deck constructs are very predictable at times. His true impact is in mixed Ongoing Buff decks that can not only plop power in unrestricted areas, but buff late to solid 2 lane wins. However, certain Meta decks are killing his vibe like Clog, Discard, Destroy, 10-pwr and others that if you predict clearly, you can defeat his purpose. War Machine has found value in the Meta, but will have some stiff competition coming as these new cards enter the game. If you don't have War-Machine, a solid must grab now. A stiff Salvador Larroca entry

I cannot predict the OTA direction of the game gang, but a good spotlight week to get a new card to experiment with, or two solid cards to add to your collection that you may not have. I will try to get Misery only to try its creation, but you could skip it, or a token option if you wish to save on keys. However, Misery is not a must get. YOU do YOU.

Be wise with your keys, enjoy the discussion gang and gaming. My best to you all. Cheers :dwarven:

Think Misery is going to be mainly a Clog card. No Viper in hand? Hood > Debri > Misery = 2 Demons and many rocks.

Misery will be Wiccan but good

Playing Misery into a Venom location will be a learning moment :)

There are just so many Reveal cards in the game, this is bound to find a home. A four-energy Odin, admittedly with a downside, but still, Ironheart and White Tiger are there to be abused, and this is just me thinking about it for a few seconds. If you can get it you should, this has a lot of potential.

I'm missing namora and I want that war machine variant, so it's an easy spend for me.

Does anyone know what happens if you play Armor + something + Misery + Odin? Do Misery and Odin just activate each other over and over forever?

Odin has a built in stop to prevent infinite loops like this.

i am excited for misery since she can have multiple uses escpecially distruptive wise to repeat some stuff can be very interesting in potentially toxic ajax decks , as clog could counter or as clog empowerer, as integral part of mill decks , darkhawk decks, thanos decks maybe the extra draw on stones could now really pay off, i also think with on reveal being the most dominant cardtype type it could always become a better card with future patches for other cards and upcoming cards.
