It is however playing into second dinners hand for one aspect only, it gives them even more reason to add stupid dumb overpowered cards to sell the idea that people should get those cards to be used for climbing the league board, that will be nerfed later on.
We are now only going to see the same decks, as there is no reason to play anything else.
Also, from what can tell, leagues are EVERYONE, new players are competing against people who have played for over 2 years ..... *facepalm
Welcome to the new era of sweat, the game just became insanely badly designed across the entire board.
I just like to play decks for fun, even if they're not the best, so all of these competitive modes which encourage sweating take some of the fun out of the game.
At the end of the day it's a pretty casual game.
The advantages are not so strong as to ensure a guaranteed first place. But let’s assume that donors will still take first places. They are still a minority. I will be surprised if there are more than two active payers for a group of 30 people. As a result, the rest will still warm up among themselves and receive free resources.
The problem for SD is that we already know how biased players can be. Many of those who are at the bottom of the list will claim that this only happened because they did not buy the benefits. Even if in fact 95% of the time they were competing with fellow non-Donatherans.
What I don't like about these leagues is that it encourages people not to increase their rating so that when the league starts they stay as low as possible and compete with the weakest players possible. That is, they encourage not to play or to lose on purpose - this is stupid.
I'm actually excited to try it because I'm curious where I'll end up. To be clear, I definitely won’t waste resources on benefits.
Unfortunately based on what SD has done in the past, they will make the Op-Out Cost 200 Gold.
I honestly want zero interaction, they can keep their 200 credits 50 gold or whatever scummy pixel variant. I'd much more prefer to finish 5-10 games than to sit and watch a roping cartoon for 40 mins. If I wanted a cartoon, i'd open YouTube.
Yeah, you get assigned automatically, but you dont have to care or change what you do in any way.
A pro in my thinking is that during the time it's live, there won't be bots, correct?
Lady Ming said that you don't play only against players in your league. If this means that matchmaking works as before, then yes you may get bots.
