MARVEL SNAP

MARVEL SNAP

Leagues are ****
Well the screenshots from leagues beta test show that its going to be a whalebait fest like in other gatcha games. And to top it off looks like the rewards are much worse then in most gacha games. Sure they can improve the rewards, but man those 30 minute shields and point multipliers for gold are hella cringy. I think its a feature that you are better off pretending doesn't exist and just playing normally. If you get some random rewards from it great.

new mode would be better like multiplayer or something, where you play like 5 ppl at the same time

It's also insanely badly designed for the games stability and core aspects, leagues are not Opt-in with forced point progression in every game, the sweat is now going to become even more sweaty, there is now ZERO reason to play anything outside of copy paste broken strong builds, people are only going to play the most, dumbest, broken, needs to be nerfed stuff you're ever gonna see, this was carelessly added and i'm now convinced that second dinner are actually trying to kill off their game.

It is however playing into second dinners hand for one aspect only, it gives them even more reason to add stupid dumb overpowered cards to sell the idea that people should get those cards to be used for climbing the league board, that will be nerfed later on.

We are now only going to see the same decks, as there is no reason to play anything else.

Also, from what can tell, leagues are EVERYONE, new players are competing against people who have played for over 2 years ..... *facepalm

Welcome to the new era of sweat, the game just became insanely badly designed across the entire board.

What could we expect, it is a Second Diner after all, and they have to eat. I could not care less about the social aspect of the game honestly. Anyway, it can never compare to the paper TCG and what makes it so great. For people who do  Have fun.
Leagues isn't the social aspect. This is like the banner weekends you see in other gatcha games.

i don't like this, it's the type of stuff that incentivizes sweating as hard as you can and i think that makes the game boring.

Its annoying how it reminds you about it after every game. I don't really care for it, more focused on the grind to infinite. Haven't played much today due to the awful hot location, so I'm at the mid point in my league. In line for a free 150 credits and 105 boosters though lol

Agree with this. I didnt like the change to post-infinite either.

I just like to play decks for fun, even if they're not the best, so all of these competitive modes which encourage sweating take some of the fun out of the game.

At the end of the day it's a pretty casual game.

Are leagues obligatory? I mean, are you placed in a league regardless if you want it or not? Because when I saw the announcement, I decided I will not join one as long as perks exist.

Yes.

I'm really not thrilled. I have that gold thing running for 26 days, then I will decide whether I join this roadtrip or play something else.

I don't want to defend this. But.
The advantages are not so strong as to ensure a guaranteed first place. But let’s assume that donors will still take first places. They are still a minority. I will be surprised if there are more than two active payers for a group of 30 people. As a result, the rest will still warm up among themselves and receive free resources.
The problem for SD is that we already know how biased players can be. Many of those who are at the bottom of the list will claim that this only happened because they did not buy the benefits. Even if in fact 95% of the time they were competing with fellow non-Donatherans.

What I don't like about these leagues is that it encourages people not to increase their rating so that when the league starts they stay as low as possible and compete with the weakest players possible. That is, they encourage not to play or to lose on purpose - this is stupid.

I'm actually excited to try it because I'm curious where I'll end up. To be clear, I definitely won’t waste resources on benefits.

You don't face against the others of your league. That being said as more information has come to light (like the 30 player size per league) then it seems less of an issue. I was picturing the normal gatch game leagues with thousands of players per league.

Make SD add an opt out button, and let the whales eat plankton.
Unfortunately based on what SD has done in the past, they will make the Op-Out Cost 200 Gold.

I honestly want zero interaction, they can keep their 200 credits 50 gold or whatever scummy pixel variant. I'd much more prefer to finish 5-10 games than to sit and watch a roping cartoon for 40 mins. If I wanted a cartoon, i'd open YouTube.

I havent seen any leagues, so its safe to assume my country isnt included in the testing. From what Ive seen in internet, it looked very similar to how they do leagues in chess.com: in other words, nothing I should pay attention to.

Yeah, you get assigned automatically, but you dont have to care or change what you do in any way.

I agree with getting assigned automatically - you just play as you normally do if you don't want to sweat it out.
A pro in my thinking is that during the time it's live, there won't be bots, correct?

Lady Ming said that you don't play only against players in your league. If this means that matchmaking works as before, then yes you may get bots.
