SERSI
The next mighty Eternal I am told had a very rich Avengers history. The lovely Sersi enters the game. This tread like always is to discuss the cards. Keep it on topic.
Jun 11-18th as this month flies.

Again I warn not to go beyond 1-KEY as I always advice you should be stacking you keys to a minimum of 3-4 or higher. It is wise to let things settle before rushing in.

SERSI: Boy, she is problematic because you are risking much with RNG. She could simply lock down your lane with the morph effect of generating strong cards one above the cost or can implode your lane into unforeseen issues you cannot correct. The interesting part to notice is the power differential that could make that lane super strong to overcome. You are adding to her 5/7 line to potential give you a much stronger 5 cost power card combined, but a lot to risk For example, you could turn a lane that has seven total power into a deficit along that seven power line, say a Mr. Negative, or professor X that secures a lane leaving you for dead, or it could increase those lane differentials to game changing wins in the lane as well. Clearly a risk, reward card, but is Sersi worth that risk. This is a card that you will live and die by the sword and will leave you with great frustration or jubilation in its usage. It also has a danger if junk is playing into her lane. That (if able) clause could be a detriment. An interesting card indeed that will have a testing period if you get her, but is she worth those tokens and keys. That is another question. Eduardo Mello and Ryan are becoming the standards of base cards with their entries and neat whale variant by Francesco Tomaselli

Always subject to change, but if it stays as is.

MIEK: A card I passed on and got by other means and a Series 4 card, so don't fret if you miss on Miek, because to be honest, he is very Miek and not necessary in these Meta decks in this archetype. He needs help, ranked at 256 with ok stat-line. Miek really hurts you if you draw him late with a 50.1% win rate, when you play it, but a decent 54.2% win rate if you draw it early. Have a feeling with what they will do with Kate Bishop, Miek is in line for a Buff, so if you get him with your key, he could improve in the meta down the line with what is coming or what they may do. Just the lack of power, the lack of movement just hurts Miek in many ways. You don't fear the card. A new variant entry by Alberto Dal Lago.

PHOENIX-I have given my take on Phoenix in the past and again as I said then needs a buff, just very niche and awful stats if you hit the wrong destroy card or don't get him on curve. You are dead if you count on him too much. He has terrible numbers when drawn, especially if you did not execute the right kill early, but when played correctly, some solid numbers at around 55.4%. Ranked at 195 and a good cube rate when played. Phoenix may start to improve statistically as players get creative to the attachments they get with the influx of new cards coming. Like Nimrod, Phoenix has a tight window to succeed with a very restrictive on curve sequence. A nice new variant entry by David Mack who hit if already in their collections.

I will try one key, but may skip this week's weaker spotlight cache if I miss. I am in no hurry to get Sersi, but if you get one of the three that you do not have with your 1-key try, I am sure you will have some decks to try out. Be smart with your keys gang, some better options to come, but you do you.

Have a great week my comrades. Enjoy your Snapping. Happy Discussion. Cheers :dwarven:

The only viable use I see for sersei is in anni decks as an alternative way to get rid of the sentry void. Turning a -8 into a random 5 drop could be very good. Assuming that 5 drop isn't modok of course lol. She's a pass for me.

probably a niche card at best, but seems fun.

She sure is interesting. Wong gives you two activations, so two energy more, which seems nice. Also, we only have one seven and one eight in the game, so this may be something to explore.

I'm getting her, since I love randomness in this game, but if you need to decide which cards to get and which ones to omit, I would think about it.

From my point of view it will be a great card for the mill deck, all the smaller cards which lose you tempo for the sake of disruption potentially get an upgrade, cable, pig, yondu, iceman, zemo and whatever he pulls. arguably or not they are always the weakest link. Now it will be a mixed back but just looking at all the two costs you can get from a 1 costs its not too bad, there will always be bad pulls, it what Shana does in her own way too pulling bast oz zero.

As such that is where I plan to test her.

Does Sersi trigger onreveal effects of the transformed cards, because technically it doesn't reveal the card?

Logically, no. But from the locations that transform the cards, we can see that it works.

The first thing I thought of was the Electro transformation in the Blink deck.

I tried. Sersi works great but right now I can't find a good deck for her.

Sersi I hit on key no. 3, 14 left, so I was fine with the chance. Will test her out.

Middle daughter missed on x2 keys, she said she was not trying with another.

Youngest missed on her one attempt
Right now testing Thena, 38-4 so far. Pretty impressive card.
See how Sersi does, going to run her with Ravonna On Reveal. :dwarven:

I found so far, she works best in a toxic negate deck, full of tech cards, where you counter and aggravate his play. Then let Sersi fly, two lane game. I think many are getting too cute with her. Only played x10 games with this new deck. See how she is after 50 games. :dwarven:

She looks like a ton of fun but im going to skip her way to many good cards coming up that look amazing and I need to save those keys sitting at only 6. Shes to random for me to be honest.
kingts Jun 12, 2024 @ 6:13pm
I have to say they picked the worst time to feature an RNG fest location with the World Forge, with a card your trying to sell that depends on RNG to have some fun shenanigans. The RNG minutia that is going on. :steamdeadpan:

I'm sure Sersi won't be a meta card, but she is fun.

I probably won't build this deck because I don't have a white widow. But now I've discovered a hybrid deck with Mockingbird and Death, and a lot of cards that serve them. Now I'm experimenting with the build.

The card is pretty good so far.

I saw a few of these in Conquest my brother. The issue I have is why play massive power to change it. I saw a bunch change Mockingbird, Cull, and others to try and improve that to a 5-6 cost, why, makes no sense to do that, none. I get giving her more power choices to secure other lanes, but people. Do not alter high power EVER on the board. Force them to counter that, don't shoot yourself in the foot for Sersi's ability. I just shook my head why players were doing this very dumb thing. Mockingbird for Alioth, really?! I can'r be the only one to be seeing this.
Players must know ALL the cards in the cost brackets. 6 cost cards can have triggers you do not want. Saw one guy blew all three lanes to a changing his 5 cost to Zola. I was like omg why. Had the lane won. What are you doing man!

One thing to use Sentry, Black Widow, Red Guardian. I mean I saw one guy try and change Sasquatch. I mean come on. Ha

You do you brother. :dwarven:
