Cannonball question

i got a question about cannonball, his text reads "destroy it with a rock" does that mean if armor is down in the lane you play him and the other locations are full would his effect still work or not?

please only respond if you actually know the answer for a fact, i can make guesses myself.

His effect won't work because armor cannot be destroyed, and cannonball's effect warrants for destruction to place a rock in that destroyed card's space, which armor does not allow due to her ability.
Take Gladiator as an example, if he pulls armor, he can't destroy it at all, despite armor's power being lower than him.

yeah makes sense, i was just wondering because of the animation, it looks more like he replaces the card with a rock rather than destroying it
