Why not recycle Bundle/Spotlight Variants ?!
I wish they'd make it to where the shop will cycle these back through so we can purchase them if we missed them... The fact that I can't get certain variants just because I didn't even play the damn game when those bundles were up for sale is ridiculous.. They don't want my money or what?

They answered on discord someones question about this just this week. Saying they will start selling the spotlight variants in the variant shop after they have been out for one year. The avatars will remain exclusive to the spotlight openings. Pricing was not actually announced of course but I would expect them to probably cost more then the Super Rares. So maybe 2000, to 2400 gold each. We will see.

Edit They did say they have NO plans to bring back bundle variants at this time. But that they won't never say never on the possibility here.

2-2.4k? Way too high no way any of these variants is worth that much. I want that Caiera upcoming variant https://static.marvelsnap.pro/art/Caiera_04.webp but i dont have card and is very unlikely i will get more than 4 keys to drop on cache possibly 7?

i think they should just rotate bundle-only variants in store and that's it. or sell them in gold bundles or something, so just other people can get them, no point gatekeeping stuff.

I don't disagree. However alot of games don't repeat their cosmetics. That way they get the fomo sales on them. Its slimy, but it is one of the tactics lots of games use to make money.

Putting bundle only variants in the store would be a huge betrayal of the promise of exclusivity. It's bad enough, that they do it with spotlight variants. They lose a lot of their appeal.

No no, for spotlight is great. We don't like Gacha Spotlights and I want my nightforged Nico that I could not even get at the time because I needed to spotlight cache for Nico. I presume that must have been before the current system where you could spend more than 4 keys to get it, but I forget why I never ended up with it.

You could always buy the card for Tokens and get the variant fro the cache. And I think such an "investment" should not be made obsolete, as it is done in good faith to get something more exclusive (even more expensive, than an Ultimate variant), than the average Snap player (not to mention the F2P crowd).

Without the exclusivity those variants become a lot less (in my case 100%) desirable. I get that someone wants something that is gone, I passed on a few bundle/spotlight variants, that I'd really like to have now (the Nico you are after being one of them too ^^), but I think it's good when they stay exclusive to the window they were available at.

i dont think it will be any betrayal if it's reasonable priced like in original run and they are rotating, they still stay exclusive. for example in dota 2 there was "arcana" skin for wraith king that i own from TI 2021 battlepass, it costed originally about 160 usd to get via spending, they reissued it last year in some scam chests, it costed initially, 260 usd in steam market for like month but price gradually dropped and now you can get it for 100 usd. do i feel cheated? no, i enjoyed it's "exclusivity" for many years, and i dont really felt super good about it that my character looked like swag among the peasants in rags. getekeeping stuff is bad let more people enjoy it.

As soon as they are available for gold all exclusivity went out the window. But I'm looking for an excuse to stop playing anyways, so in the end this kind of action would serve a purpose as well.

i don't know why? i mean i get you like having stuff that is rare and you use it because it's "unobtainable by any means"?, but why not use it solely just because you like how it look? you will be much more happy that way. i;m pretty certain they are looking for a way to bring back spotlight variants. the way you are getting them now is unobtainable for like 95% of the game population? i mean the only way to get variant you like is drop 6k tokens and 4 keys (less if you lucky) and with ratio of earning tokens +100 once in a blue moon that's torture (or drop 100 usd for wong bundle). i don't believe tho these artworks are better quality than 1.2k gold ones, it's all about "exclusivity" sticker. i;m pretty sure that even 1% of this game population don't buy all the spotlight variants. also even if they find a way to bring them back, is not like you will play against people using exactly the same variants as you. the only reason i would like to get Caiera variant is because i like how it look, i would still use it if it was 1200, 700 or 10 gold.

Sure and it's your prerogative to think and act that way, I simply don't.

Edit: 6k credits are by no means hard to get. That's why we own credit cards. And this kind of support for the game should result in at least the luxury of cosmetic exclusivity.

I honestly don't see them selling spotlight variants for less than 4k gold. The initial investment of additional spotlights / tokens to obtain them is worth a lot of in game resources, regardless of whether you have to wait a year or not.

Think Ming is probably closer to what they will end up being.

Sure pricing them more expensive is great for whale income but those whales already spent their money to get them when they were new. So I'd say it will be more targeted to dolphins or lower spenders.

Their main goal will be to drain your gold so you think about buying more to get another variant, if it's an ok price like Mings players will do just that, if it is quite expensive like yours people will simply not interact with the system at all and SDs goal will fail.

This would be fine with me. Just make them available once a year. God forbid a few more people own them... Is that really going to kill these "I want exclusives" people... Don't think so.

I'm not a gatekeeper or whale and don't really care who has what, but I completely understand why whales would be upset.

Contrary to the vocal minority's belief you can't pay to win in Snap, there are plenty of decks that can get you to infinite, win Infinite conquest and compete with the higher ranks of Infinite ladder that don't cost a dime and don't require all the new powerful cards that get released, so buying power is out.

So the only thing they can really gain from their money is is exclusivity. If I were a whale and spent 100s+ to have a unique collection of Variants that at the time looked to be exclusive at the time, then SD turned around and made them available to everyone after the fact I would probably bit a bit miffed and way less likely to open my wallet again.
