You did a charge back, it's handled very similar in every game out there if you do it, hell a lot of games will straight up ban your account for it, this is not SD specific behaviour.
It's a video game, if your feeling burnt out / not enjoying it take a break my dude.
I know what happened, but thanks for understanding. I also know it's really not anyone's fault for purchasing wherever they did, what I can't get over is the whole issue getting basically downplayed to nothing. Ever since then I just see how for example the new season launches and Black Swan is out and about and here we go again with Thanos! BUT NO! It's the same meta, that I was in yesterday and for the past month. Jumped into Conquest thinking that Supergiant + Absorbing Man and then Alioth or Doom or Shang Qi or literally any sort of difference but it's the same old thing. Same shop, 15 and a 45 dollar bundle after everyone spends ten bucks to grab the pass only to see 1200 gold variants for albums with emotes.
You are right, I am burnt out. But this reminds me alot of when I played games that at one point I simply thought "Why the F" and then never look back. The reason I'm posting is simply to ask if I do take time away, does not having all the cards make it worse or 'meh' when you eventually do return?
With SDs current philosophy of releasing some overturned cards but not being afraid to tune them down later along with the spotlights stepping away now to maybe return later will probably be a pretty good experience.
You will be missing cards yes, but with how spotlights work you should be able to gather cards fairly fast with missing more then the standard 1 new card a week. Anything Meta breaking will eventually be tuned down so you shouldn't feel terribly behind.
If Ming sees this maybe she could chime in how her catch up experience is going after taking a break from the game, I don't really know first hand.
But here I am, season pass black swan and supergianting my way up the ladder yet again!
Black Swan is getting 0 play. supergiant is absorbing mans best friend!~
Two cards dropping now but since i am collection complete i dont keep up with what drops series wise. If you been grinding for a month without spending cash drops or anything then that isnt so bad, but if you are paying for gold and bundles then well if I stop I might as well just stop.
The music for this season is lit though, ngl
The thing with knowing if they are bad or good isnt really a factor for me anymore as we all know they change it up whenever they feel like it. Im more concerned with series 5 going to 4 and how often that is now. After the initial drop last month or the month before, have there been any significant drops series wise?

Usually a dolphin, never go full whale... I blame the 16,000 gold for $99.00 among other things.

Dont be ashamed I'm rather whaleish as well. I feel kind of bad now and thank whoever i never bother to see what i actually spend in this game compared to my previous gaming budgets.
I like this game, I really do. But man, that whole thing with the 6k gold going to others that paid the same I simply cant shake. thats money, cash for free and thats basically two 4 shop variants for free (my thinking).
That's really not too bad considering I'm missing 11 currently that aren't Meta relevant and I have no interest in collecting them, and another handful I do have along the lines of Havok to mess around with when I'm not feeling competitive.
Being at the mercy of what cards the Devs decide to put in the Spotlights isn't probably great though.
It's really cool to consider that there are so many games out that can easily be just as fun, cost less, and have outcomes that lead to satisfaction.
And yet, well...
