I don´t understand Loki
in my opinion it says, i get the starthand of my opponent -1 energy ... or what is ment by getting the startdeck?

i played a conquest against a hela-deck and played loki on turn 5, and all i get is a 1-cost wolverine? how is this possible?

You get random cards from their starting deck, not hand. And you get as many cards as there are in your hand as Loki resolves.

starting deck = the way it looks like in collection, a total of 12 different cards.
exclueding cards that get added later on, like infinity stones by thanos.
also excluding "changed" cards like ultra evolutionary cards.

the number of cards you get equals your hand size.
so you basicly dont want to play loki on turn 3.
you either go for sth like snowguard + loki turn 4, cause snowguard adds 2 more hand cards

or you go loki turn 6 to power boost collector.
loki into wong or kamar taj will double replace your hand for an even stronger collector

Loki REPLACES the cards in your hand with cards from the deck your opponent has before start of the game. (This means that cards that change the deck at the start of the game (high evolutionary, Thanos) aren't counted)

So you only get as many cards as you had in your hand when Loki activated. If you were holding one card, then that card gets replaced by something they had. If you are holding five cards when you Loki, you get those five replaced.

Learned the hard way tonight, you don't always play Loki on t3, or even t4. Sometimes, depending on your Loki deck, you're better off not playing him at all, or keeping him for insurance in t6, like another poster already pointed out.

He's great at what he does, which is wreak havoc and cause chaos. The thing about him is you have to have a general understanding of multiple other decks if you play him a lot in his deck, otherwise you just lose because you don't know how to play Move or Destroy or Control.

Theres a deck that plays moon girl and plays double loki on turn 6... To get a ginormous collector.

Ahhh Loki, the menace of Snap, he is a lot of fun if you have him, not op, and I still see him struggle in upper ranks. I do think a tweak is coming, money first, adjust later.

My only concern is they tweak his pwr and cost. I like it where it is.

I do think the -1 cost or the fact that he can duplicate any of the opposing deck will be addressed, one or both, especially for example he gets massive cards at lower costs, that you the player may never draw from your deck.

They will find a happy medium for him I think. Probably already had a back up plan in house, they just want all the money they can get.

Loki: “I am the monster parents tell their children about at night.”

Ah, so true Loki, so true. Peace :Garrison:

The first thing that comes to mind is to make him a four-cost. Won't matter much, since many already play him with Zabu, but it will make it harder if you don't get Zabu.

na i think its just fine, afterwards i get it, how this dude works ... turning into 4-cost will ruin my wong-coulson-loki strategy :D

No, the first thing it comes to mind is restrict the energy reduction to 1, like every other cost reduction card in the game and like he should have been since the launch.

I have a feeling laveley, that will be the tweak they do.

Hmm, I usually play one and two cost cards off Loki, but I may be doing it wrong.

You are right, he should get that treatment, but I feel he also needs a cost increase.
