The changes coming live (probably) next week:

Card Acquisition Improvements
Every new card released in MARVEL SNAP should be exciting and impactful. We want players to wonder how that card could unlock new possibilities for fun or to win matches–and be able to actually play out those dreams. We’ve heard your feedback that we’re not meeting these expectations right now. It’s time to change that! We’re increasing the rate that all players earn Tokens, including a huge boost for Series 3 players that brings them in-line with Series 4/5 players. These changes will give all players equal opportunities to unlock brand new cards for themselves–whether you’re in Series 3 or beyond.

More Tokens: We’re increasing the amount of Tokens earned on the Collection Level Track for all players who have not yet collected all Series 4 and Series 5 Cards. Starting at Collection Level 500 players will be able to earn between 200-600 tokens in Collector’s Caches and Collector’s Reserves regardless of whether they have completed Series 3 or not. This is an increase of 4X for players who have not yet completed Series 3! Once a Card Series is complete, caches that would have contained a card from that Series will now be replaced with 100 Tokens. All of these changes will result in more tokens for more people!

Choose Your Card: Series 3 cards now have their own section in the Shop! Once per season players who haven’t completed Series 3 will be able to claim one free Series 3 card to help them fill out their favorite deck and take a step closer to completing their collection. Now you can save your tokens for Series 4 and 5 cards!
You don’t need to wait long for these updates, both of these changes will be in our next patch!

Big changes for Series 3 players! Almost nothing changes for Series 3 complete players. 😅

Damn, I've just become Series 3 complete a few days ago. Well, at least my sons (both middle of Series 3) will be happy. 😁

Wow, they listened to what I wrote a month ago!

Firstly, in the next patch, Series 3 cards in the Token Shop will be separated from the Series 4 and 5 and instead will have its own section, where players can claim one free Series 3 card per Season. So our understanding is that you can pick from a Series 3 card you do not own, cannot be pinned, and you cannot buy it with tokens.

It doesn't matter. You normally get 1000 per month anyway so now you get a free card + 4000 tokens per month.

This is great news for players not yet series three complete, but does nothing to increase interest in new series five cards, which is one of their stated goals. Once you are series three complete, you are still unable to keep up with the new releases. Recent tokens bundles are a step in the right direction, but until token acquisition is at least three times faster, most level five cards will remain totally uninteresting until they drop down to series three. And Ultimate variants, while quite nice, might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned, making a separate section for them in the shop will be just an irritation to most players.

I don't care because I am almost a series 3. complete. But it mattered for new players because there were other means to acquire tokens, mainly through bundles. It will make series 3. grind even harder and more random.

Increased interest in Series 5 cards will come as more and more people complete Series 3. Also, Pool 3 players getting access to more tokens makes Pool 5 cards more available to everyone on the whole. Only whales will be able to get every Series 5 when it drops, but more people will have realistic access to select Series 5 cards on the whole.

Exactly that! Every single new release remains inaccessible. Nice, you get a free pool 3 card every seson... And you still can't play with the new releases. This fix nothing.

Yes, that's what the developers are saying, but as a player that has been series three complete for quite some time now, I can tell you that the interest may be there, but the means are not. Which leads to frustration and spending on token bundles.

Taonath once posted that you can get 24000 tokens per month with maximal spending. With the new bundles, this number is probably bigger, so IF you were to spend some huge amounts of money on this game, you might be able to keep up with new releases, and even lower the amount of missing pool five cards. For a ftp, forget it, they will never be able to get more than one series five card per month. And four new ones are released every month. Most of them, with the exception of the extremely powerful ones, are going to be simply ignored. Which is extremely bad for a CCG.

So for anyone like me who's far from complete pool 3 its best to spend all my remaining tokens on pool 3 cards before this patch goes live.. right?
And its better to wait on opening all caches since we will get more token after the patch?

If you are missing some generally good S3 cards, like Aero, She-Hulk, and Mystique, if I were you, I would try to buy them before the patch. What is your collection level? If you are below 1k, you can open them, otherwise, you can wait.

Increased interest in "Big Bads" will come when more people complete S3. There is no other incentive to buy S5 unless it is a super broken, meta-defining card. With this change, people will be buying good S4 cards. People will rely heavily on content creators before dropping 6k on S5, because you need one month of heavy grind to collect that many tokens if you don't buy bundles.

Can we expect the patch tomorrow or not? Does anyone know the exact date?

I hope so. Cannot wait to see the changes on Shuri and Thanos decks. :)
