last night i got omega red, slipped it into my existing deck,
for the next 5 of 7 games i got beat by magneto showing up on turn 6
i been playing that deck almost 2 months almost every day, and i never ran into magneto once !!
so okay i get it mag can beat my card, it's not even about winning or losing, why this game gotta spoon feed me and pre determine everything
same thing with cosmo/wong, encchantress/cerebro etc.
i dont think, imo it's easier to program the game to counter with whatever card in the game, as opposed to limit the bot's options by generating a random, coherent deck every game before the match start
Something stinks in the MMR this season. It doesn't feel fair. I'm not even trying to climb, just stay at 45, do dailys and log off. The frustration of losing to metas, bad matchmaking, meme decks and bots > having fun and enjoying the game.
Nah, it's the game. When you get bots, and the board favors almost every time, no it's not fun. I rarely run into a move deck, maybe 1 in 15-20 rounds, but when i do, the board has Bifrost/NY/etc to favor them...just coincidentally...every time.
1. Don't switch decks often. First of all, you will learn how to pilot the deck, and you will become better at it. Second, if you switch often, it is the same as a coin flip. Heads does not win more over tails. Everything equalizes over time.
2. You will get countered no matter the deck you are playing. Powerful counters are cheap and available to everyone. And everyone runs at least one of them in their deck. Because of the small deck size, the chance your opponent will have a "perfect" counter is high.
3. In order to have a higher win rate, you have to play meta decks. You can win with trash homebrew decks. You can win with obscure combos. But it is hard to beat a refined meta deck.
There is no hidden algorithm to make your life miserable. The game, as a whole, is designed to piss you off. So pick a good deck, stick to it, and try to learn the game and make good decisions. Simple as that.
Well I have played most games like hearthstone, and never have I seen anything like this. First and foremost I am not a noob to this game my collection level may only be 3200, but I know how all the cards work. Which decks are meta, and how to play every deck I have. It should not matter if you switch decks often. Watch any pro, top player, streamer they all switch decks often this is not a game where you should just play one deck . You can if you want, but any decent player I have ever seen in this game has about 4-5 decks they go between often. You also do not have to play meta decks to technically have a higher win rate. I have been playing since the game started I am currently 120 and I did not use Thanos, or Shuri to get there this season or have a high win rate. It is literally about the matchup and the board in this game. Sure it helps to have OP cards, but it does not always work in your favor plus you do not see a lot of meta decks until higher ranks at least I didn’t. Also you do not for sure know if there are any algorithms in place as I doubt you had anything to do with development no one said they were made to make you life miserable only that we are pretty sure there is some type implemented. Saying I do not have enough of sample size may make sense for the argument of playing different decks and players always having counters to those decks yet when a new deck is played those cards are no where to be seen. However that argument does not work when it comes to Lockjaw I can 100% guarantee you lockjaw/jubilee pick out of your deck based on %. That % being higher for low cost low power cards. I have played over 100 games with the deck only having two 1 cost cards in the deck. On turn 3 when lockjaw is placed if I have wasp in hand and place wasp with lockjaw and also have those in hand I have a 1 in 6 chance to pull sub spot tell me why when I totaled it last night every time i had a 1 in 6 chance to pull the lowest cost card in deck 58% of the time it pulled that card. If it’s random RNG that make 0 sense. 6 cards total 5 of them are a 5 or 6 cost 58% of the time they did not get chosen by lockjaw. Of course if two of those low cost are in the deck the odds got worse up to 70%. Try it yourself do some actual research instead of going there is no algorithm’s when you do not know. Run wasp, sunspot, lockjaw, jubilee, Thor, leech, vision, America Chavez, she hulk, magneto, giganto, infinaut. Watch how abnormally your low cost card are chosen over the high cost by lockjaw and jubilee when the odds are always in favor of the higher cards and tell me those cards are no programmed to pull low cost cards at a higher percentage.
How do you get a rant out of replying to what Midnite stated? If you do not want to read what I wrote then don't. This thread is not for you to come here, and attack people for getting their point across. Many people have noticed the same thing as I do. I just did research to see if I was crazy. Many people have confirmed the same thing I have stated in previous posts here.
Yup I am telling you there is definitely some type of algorithm when it comes to cards played and matchmaking. If anyone thinks I am just seeing patterns that are not there play the lockjaw deck i mentioned above and tell me lockjaw/jubilee do not pull lower cost cards at a higher percentage rather than just being random pulls.
