I don't understand how people are so bitter in simple card game, but if you start the game with all the stupid emoji spam? Its going to be a loooooong game, I play at work, so I really don't care, I have other things to do.

I can't even picture how sad of a human being you have to be to be a douche in a free to play card game.

I mean how often do you have to lose, how bad at the game do you have to be that you need to do that little extra when you do win?

so bring on your emotes. It'll be the longest game you play.

I agree with lovemehate, some people are really toxic on this game: Turn 1/2 snap, Emote spam, Full disrupt/cancer deck. Some just don't want to have fun, they just want to win and mock everyone they encounter.

TBH I do the same thing as lovemehate when I encounter them, especially the ones snapping turn 1 and emote "Snap?"/"I'm confident", I wait a looong time using the "I don't believe you" emote, then I surrend at the very end of turn 1. They just take their only 1 cube and lost time.

People need to learn what RESPECT means, and this is clearly not respectful. It's the peak of haughty, arrogant and condescending attitude.

While I agree with the emote spam. A turn 1 or 2 snap is not disrespectful in itself. No more so then a raise in poker is. If I'm playing negative and have psylocke into negative that will usually be a turn 2 snap after I see the 2nd location. Sure every once in awhile the 3rd location hoses you. But the upsides are higher I think then the downsides. Especially with a deck like negative in this example.

That is what snapping is, it's not disrespectful, it's understanding that you are currently in a strong position and attempting to win more because of it.

That is what snapping is, it's not disrespectful, it's understanding that you are currently in a strong position and attempting to win more because of it.

The fact is Marvel Snap is not Poker, rules are totally different. Marvel Snap is a card effect game with mana, more like Hearthstone. The snapping mechanic only exists because of the ranked games and imo is badly implemented. Snapping should be only enabled after turn 3 when all locations are visible.

It's a VERY obvious parallel in another card game. Answer the question instead of plugging your ears and saying no.

Starting a game = Ante

Snapping = Raising

Locations = Flop

Retreating = Folding

It is not badly implemented, you simply don't like a core function of the game.

Toxic is such a toxic word. People are not toxic. They just want to win. So they use all the means to provoke you into making a mistake. It seems you are trying to make excuses for your losses. There is something called a mute button if you click on an opponent portrait. Mute them, and concentrate. That will make you a lot better at the game. What you are doing is effectively making you the same as them.

Spamming is annoying to some people sure but you can't really be toxic with such limited communication options.

Also, T1 snap and emoting in my experience has ended up in many fun/close matches where both players got nice draws and played well, and had many positive emotes exchanged.

Also, free games have the most toxic playerbases

Also, even the longest game is pretty short

Turn 1 snap means the player has all the key cards to start the game and yes that is a smart snap. If you rage out over that you are the issue.

Has to do more with emotes being used as a distraction/concentration breaking tool by some people.

In a game that requires even more quick thought than HS due to locations + math adding up possibly to very high amounts when the opponent constantly spams emotes it's 100% done with the intention of screwing you up.

They are trying to make you do the math wrong or frustrate you into making a bad decision or maybe even just retreat/leave the game. Whatever the reason by the time the emotes stop being spammed the 'fun' of the match is already gone because you learned you are playing against someone willing to resort to dirty tricks to win.

I mute every game now because in my experience only 1/5 times emotes are used with non-troll intentions.
