I'm almost Series 3 complete (6 cards to go) and I'm currently level 37 on the ladder. 😝
Play for fun, not to climb the ladder. Too much effort for almost no reward. Collect cards, try different decks and do the daily missions. That's better than stressing out to reach infinite. For what? Few extra credits and gold? LOL! 😅
For example, I play a deck with only the baby/chibi variants I've collected. Bad cards and no synergy in that deck, so I mostly lose with it. But I enjoy the variants. Even more than winning. 😁

I was replying to where you wrote about having a hard time even if paying for all the bundles.
CL 3943, rank 37 BTW :)
There are bundles that contain one (1) new card, a profile picture, a title, and some credits to upgrade your collection that cost $40-$80 usd. So the cost of a AAA game for some cosmetics and a card. Predatory trash. Avoid it unless you intend to be a whale and fork over thousands of dollars to stay competitive.
I said this in your other thread complaining, but I'll say it again here. You've never played a CCG before I presume, as in any other game you don't even get guaranteed cards you just get random packs for the price points you're quoting and have to pray you get whatever new things you need to be competitive, at least in this game you can attempt to target cards you need or want.
You can also do fairly well with a couple of the pool 2 decks if you use your brain to know what sorts of things you can and can't beat, there's a retreat button that offers basically zero penalty/draw back for a reason. If you're too dense to ever utilize it then that's on you.
Also those bots that are 'easy to beat' continue to be a thing up through the mid ranks, it's only in very high ranked play that you get the bots that are programmed to beat you unless you play/draw perfectly.
As I said in my initial post, yes jumping from pool 2 to pool 3 can be very harsh, at the same time you can play the Uno reverse card and stay in pool 1 or 2 indefinitely and get to infinite every single season with about 3 brain cells if the only thing you care about is some artificial ranking that has no sway over how well you play or understand the game.
If you refuse to use the tools provided for you, and don't wish to learn then this game most certainly isn't for you.
As I already said, I slowed down my collection track compared to many by buying variants I like for cards I love, I also don't get many of the gold bundles for this reason, yet I still have fun and compete with multiple decks I own.

A post from 1 mounth ago...very on point with the actual meta!
It's not, don't let this guy lie to you.
It's predatory, additctive, manipulative, but one thing it's not is p2w. It's pay to have fun, but it takes astronomical amounts of money to make a deck right away. I call it pay to have fun.
This may be the same thing in the end, but the important thing is that you cant just shovel money into this and buy a deck. It still takes time.

Also let there be no illusions here. Climbing to infinite with pool 2 only decks would be a nightmare and not something I would ever recommend. Just pointing out that if they can do it with pool 2 only, then what is everyone elses excuses. Don't bother replying though, I will no longer be able to see anything you post.
And of those 8 only titania and goose are any good. Titania being the better of the two hands down. I hope to pull her soon she has a spot in a couple of my decks waiting for her. Maybe that puts me slightly ahead of pure f2p, but I'm pretty far behind the whales that have most of s4 and s5.
Its also worth noting though that I didn't start the game till the black panther season. So I was a little late to the party too. The only token bundles I have bought were the sunspot one, the mr negative one and the new deadpool one. I didn't have the gold for the apocalypse one as I try to save all my gold to minimize my actual spending to stay under my $50 a month limit I set for myself in gaming.
People saying play better don't understand what PvP means. Sure you can lose less cubes if you play smart but others do the same and you gain far less on average than the earlier ranks. And trying to hit someone hard with cards that are factually much weaker than what people you go against at rank 65 near the end of a match, just isn't possible.
Again love the game and will keep playing it, but its a hell of a grind meant to force you to spend if you wanna compete at high levels.
Do you understand the word meta in video game, especially card game? Do you know meta change every time a card nerfed, buffed, the player found a new perspective to play some cards or simply because a new card is released?
Welcome to card game, kiddo.
I can't imagine you playing YGO, buy a full set of specific card, then the dev put it into Limited. LMAO
