They could possibly get better but I would still call bots pretty bad at any level.
Contrary to what people say, no, as far as we know the bots do not get to magically change the cards in their deck/hand to beat you (if that were a thing, they would literally be unbeatable in the vast majority of games). They play the deck they have been assigned and they get perfect information on turn 6, that's it.
They still have the downsides of bots. They're easily tripped up by weird location combinations or by you messing with their cards. They are pretty bad at playing certain archetypes, like move decks. But if it gets to turn 6 and you haven't already outplayed them enough that nothing they have in their hand is going to be able to save them, then they are probably going to win.
That's why some people say bots, even at higher levels, are easy to play around while others say they are cheats and impossible to beat.
Approximately first 35 collection levels you are playing only against bots.
Bots can however appear at any CL and rank. They are an integral part of the game because they inject cubes into the circulation.
(a game of Marvel snap is zero-sum in terms of cubes, the other player loses as many as the other one wins. Cubes have to come from somewhere)
Some common ways to identify a bot:
- They have one of the basic avatars
- They may have a simple first name, such as "Michael", "George" etc. Not always though.
- They favor the left location
- They play illogically.
- They snap when they are head on two locations
There is also a possibility the other player has Agatha Harkness in their hand, so they play like a bot until Agatha is removed from their hand (played or discarded)
You can't be serious.... Man, this game just gets worse and worse.
Source for dev confirming that?
They still seem pretty bad at infi.
