And then what if you miss that one 8 hour window for the card you want? One of the 8 hour rotations ends at 6am EST lol!!! So who's getting up in the middle of the night for that?
I would suggest:
- at least 3 cards in rotation
- rotate the cards every 24 hours in line with the regular reset time. That way its consistent and people don't miss a rotation.
Oh ok well that's actually better. Since you can log in through the day and keep it rotating
For me the issue is the token system as a whole as there isnt a suitable way to obtain them at all...the initial boost is what most people are going to use up and will take ages beyond that to ever get more after that.
Long term i feel there needs to be a better way to obtain them if the system is ever going to work; nvm the rotation aspect of it. Im sure you can expand upon it to add 2 or 3 cards per day to choose from but then your not escaping the same issue of people are just gonna cherry pick the 3-5 best cards and thats it and it sorta defeats the purpose of the system as their ignoring 80% of the pool.
Overall i think they just need a better way of getting cards in general as gating so much of the game beyond the random collection system drives people away once they hit pool 2 and more so pool 3. The token system doesnt help much but just shows people want competitive decks to just play the game and are gonna fish for a few cards and ignore the rest as its unlikely they'll complete pool 3 anyways so why bother filling in the slots with random cards to buy.
For the record im just over 1K and have a decent amount of Pool 3 done but still am missing most the key cards ( go figure ) so im still playing mostly pool 2 ish decks with maybe some pool 3 mixed in..which seems rather backwards for how youd want people to play or enjoy your game when they simply dont have a reasonable way of accessing the cards you add to the game to begin with.
