I began on Oblivion difficulty and its WAY TOO HARD.

I bought this on n64 day1 back in the day, and im pretty sure i never beat it after watching the steam gameplay clip, but it sure as heck wasnt THIS hard, maybe i was on normal? Its impossible to even doge the projectiles the enemy shoot at you on Oblivion? And it does a ton of damage! Also these games seriously need quicksave to make it manageable the checkpoints are ludicrous!

this gives me a good opportunity to ask, what is oblivion difficulty anyways? lol i beat hard mode with controller and no auto aim or aim assist but im for sure going to cheese that stuff when i try oblivion if what i think it means is AI 1 hitting you in a shot.

I thought it was surprisingly easy. The game constantly throws ammo & health at you, and there's no penalty for dying. The previous Turok games would restart the entire game if you ran out of extra lives.

well the first time hard was pretty difficult but my last playthrough on oblivion was a joke dont know why. The most difficult part is chapter 2 with the armored military as soon as you have that down the game is very easy. I also remember the last boss having 2-3 hp refills but here even on the highest he only had 1 hp-bar

It's way easier than the n64 one, there is ammo and health dropped everywhere...

Oblivion difficulty is really not that bad, but some enemies can hit quite hard. Plus they can react INSTANTLY when you enter their line of sight, so if you open a door or turn around a corner they'll shoot you before you even realize they're there. And AoE attacks are also ridiculous due to their size.

In the first level the dogs have an instant hitscan attack. I cant dodge this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spit attack.

It's not hitscan, it's huge splash damage.

keep them at a distance if you mean the 3dogs in the underground just kill the 1 infront of you an then stand at the back of the room they have a fixed range and cant move down there

I just beat oblivion difficulty, I'm not as proficient as I was when I was young but this is what happens when you allow quick time events and health regen.
