i use two sets...

First half of game i use
Primary: M1903 bolt action sniper
Sec: Silenced 6P9 pistol
Spec: RPG7

Second Half:
Primary: M1903 or AR16
Sec: 6P9
Spec: CarlG rocket launcher.

It's good to have an explosive weapon at all times, so if you want more bullet firepower (like the M-249 SAW) that might take up your special slot, then use the M-79 grenade laucnher for Sec, or even the devestating MGL-140 for primary.

i think it's also key to use a silenced weapon, especially on harder skill levels. I love clearing out guard posts undetected with the 6P9. I feel like it's a more personable approach and more worth the effort if you get up close and personal while killing them silently.

With the Fortune edition, I've tried all but the high end range weapons to date, and set myself to using almost exclusively:
1. Draganov (used for both assault and sniper work)
2. Crossbow w/ explosive charge OR the standard RPG Launcher
3. Flare Gun (see below)

The flare gun is probably the most overlooked weapon in the game I imagine, but I can swear by it's lethality in indirect collateral damage which in turn causes quite a few of the hostiles to be taken out in a fiery death.

i would have never guessed it, but i love the flare gun.
after exploring the weapons i now use:
primary: golden ak (but i want that paratrooper gun, golden ak is nice but i just want awesome looking guns :P)
secondary: flare pistol
special: crossbow

for some reason, i'm turned off by the Dragonuv. maybe it's the crosshair, or the fact that if you dont hit the targaets in the head, it takes 2-3 shots to kill them.

Plus, the M1903 Bolt Action Rifle is easier to pull off no-scopes.

Mac 10, sIlent shotgun, explodey crossbow.
Silent pistol, anything that isn't a sniper rifle, explody crossbow/that machine gun.
Desert Eagle or craftsman's shotgun, silent SMG, explody crossbow.

I usually change my weapon loadouts with almost every mission. One of the best things about Far Cry 2 is that you can vary the gameplay yourself when and how you like.

I'm very partial to the silenced shotgun, AK, Dragunov, dart rifle, and silenced Makarov, though. I'm learning to love the silenced MP-5 as well.
