you can download map from Internet, I try via FC2 but still error that servers are dead.
For example: http://fcmaps.net/maps/far-cry-2, you have to place in folder with "user maps"

Thanks! But... After I log in and click on the "maps" link then click on the name of the map... there is no "download" button to click on to direct me to the download!
Am I doing something wrong?

That was of much help, thank you! :)

Quick question though, where do you find this "user maps" folder?
FISHI Jan 3, 2015 @ 3:14pm
try this C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2\user maps\downloads

Any other ways? I checked to see if they had a "user maps" folder when looking through the steam category of my computer but I couldn't find it anywhere. Also my documents file is corrupt and earlier this year I had to delete it... Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files x86 > Steam > Steam Apps > Far Cry 2

Game should create that folder when you go to multiplayer(or maybe when you try to download from offical server that will fail anyway, but may create this path). this folder must exist because there is you single player save too(at least should be, i'm using not steam version but i think it doesn't matter: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1553457).

Weird, maybe the steam version was not intended to have custom maps. The only folders I see are "bin", "Data_win32", and "Installers". Oh well, thanks for trying to help me. Anyways it seems like a steam issue, better luck next time I guess.

Not in steam Library, and in Far Cry, go on disk where u have your OS,i suppose it is Windows, so then Users, then your userName(Like Morty idk what ur name is) find My documents, and there should be My games/Far Cry 2/ et cetera cetera

Hahah it was right there the whole time. lmao! But I still don't see a "user maps" folder. Should I just create one?
