Stick with Crossbow or switch to MGL-140?

The crossbow has been good to me for the whole game up to this point. It's the reason I haven't had to buy any rocket launchers. Being a DLC weapon it's pretty overpowered I guess. But I looked up the page for the MGL-140 Grenade Launcher on the Far Cry Wiki and I'm wondering if it's worth the time I'd spend doing the convoy mission for it and unlocking its upgrades.

How does it compare to the crossbow as an anti-vehicle and anti-personnel weapon? I like the crossbow becaue with a little skill you can get incredible range out of it, and it's silent until the explosion. Its only real downsides are the arrow travel time and its low ammo capacity, whereas the MGL is semi-automatic.

If I get this, it and its upgrades will probably be the last things I spend stones on for the rest of the game, so no more need for side missions.

I went ahead and tried it out. I kinda feel like Carl Weathers at the end of Action Jackson with this thing.
