I find it fun, makes situation more intense. The real struggle. Don't expect yourself to be healthy 24/7...

I agree with FlyingBurritoCat, this game isn't afraid to make life harder for your character and that's a big part of what makes it great..

ya i guess it just got a little annoying with the way the screen is

Its not that bad you dont have to take pills that often i like the idea of having malaria in the game

If it bothers you, you can use 'Jackals Mod' I believe that has done away with the malaria thing.

The Malaria might look random but it's actually scripted, and the times you gotta go for pills are scripted too. It doesn't happen 24/7. That's just the beginning where your sickness level is high and in the ending where your sickness level is max. For 3.5/4 of the game, your Malaria is level 0 or 1 so you rarely need any pills.

That said, i wouldn't call it frustrating

The thing I didn't realize the first time through is the Malaria doesn't really put time pressure on you, except at certain points.. As excalibur says, it's scripted. The whole thing with the pills, and running out, makes you think you have to hurry up and do everything before you run out of pills, but you actually have infinte pills until you hit the trigger that gives you the quest to get more. The triggers for the underground missions are tied to completing faction missions, so if you want you can do all the buddy, convoy and assassination missions and spend lots of time doing diamond tours before doing any faction missions, and you won't run out of pills or get an underground mission. I believe you get an underground mission in the north after the 2nd, 4th and 6th faction missions. In some games I never even do the third underground mission in the north because I've done all the side missions before I do the 6th faction mission, and just finish up in the north right after that. In the south I think it's after the 1st, 3rd and 5th faction missions.

You don't run out of pills immediately. Completing the triggering faction missions makes the underground mission available after a short while, and I'm usually in the middle of the next side mission by then. I always have time to finish up that side mission and then do the underground mission. I think once the underground mission becomes available you have two pills left, but I'm not sure.

So the solution to malaria is basically just to take your pills and chill out :D

The only real issue I've ever had with the Malaria is, when in a heavy firefight and getting hit by those never miss you NPC while you got to take a break and take your pills. >:(

I'm mroe frustated to know, no matter where you go, how you travel, as soon you enter ina car 1) you have someone behind trying to hit you, you atke bus, travel from x to y place and bam someone is like there waiting you to kill. Is like if enemy monitorizing you with a satellite or soemthing... I mean.... I can understand when you have more reputation, but at start of game where you are NOTHING and you don't even know wtf you doing there. Also the stealth to me i completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥, they see you even behind a tree or fence or they hear you from 500km. Aside that is a nice game and Im dealing with it (in veteran). Only this things are annoying sometimes, but to play in normal no way XD. Alo... I lost a savefile (corrupted) last eyar so had tor estart, remember... SAVE TWICE in different file...
