Mike's Bar Tape Recorder Glitch

I just started FC2 and encountered serious issues early on, specifically @Mike's Bar.

The bugs included: 1) being unable to interact w/2 new Buddies and 2) being unable to pick up the cassette recorder which prevents you from continuing the game.

Luckily there's a fix that I found which correctly pointed out that the issue was with the FPS going all funky in the bar. It advised entering the following in Launch Options/Properties in the game Library (right click Properties and type or copy):

-RenderProfile_MaxFps 60

After doing so everything in the bar was 5X5 including successfully picking up the recorder. Hope this helps those who've had the same problem.

Yeah about 90% of the issues in this game can be fixed by capping the FPS. Though you'll still occasionally get soft-locked but that seems to happen once every 20 playthroughs.

Use the multi-fixer program from Fox Ahead found in the guide section of the FC2 steam community page. It will fix all of this.

Yes to all of the above - and if you don't use the mod at least use Multi-Fix
as Hunter advises to avoid future problems.
