Mod - Far Cry 2 REDUX map marker question

Hey,

I am using REDUX mod for the game. The mod disables your player marker on the map and I was wondering how I can go about enabling it again.

You cannot. Just focus on heading towards the objective arrow in the beginning. You'll get used to it over time.

I would actually really appreciate that. You think I would have to start over? Also how much is different? Really liking the mod so far besides the marker being missing.

Hunter may correct me on this - but I'm certain that other than the map it's exactly the same.

Could you host a download for this? I've also been looking for a way to re-enable missing markers (mostly on moddb where you could maybe also post a mediafire link or something on my comment).

HELLO ! - Sorry for the delayed reply - SO much going on in my life right now..

The only way I can share files is through Text Attachments - but since some of you
have private profiles / limited friends - and would like to keep it that way, I'm going to
send this "Lost Redux" to Hunter and suggest that he include this version on his DL que.

That way everyone can have the option and the author have the credit he deserves.

IF - for some reason Hunter can't provide the space on his DL page I'll persue some
other method to get it to you.

I know that Hunter worked for a while on the new maps to make the game more realistic,
but I'm quite sure he would rather that more people be able to experience his great changes
to the game.

The better part of planning is intel, and planning is a huge part of the game. - Much of the
info isn't just useful, it's necessary for full exploitation of resources.

Thanks for the reply! Though I really like Hunter's new maps for realism (they are very readable as the names of areas show on the gps), I'd much like to stay with the casual experience of knowing where exactly I am, especially when in the out-of-bounds areas that are confusing to navigate in without a marker. Even a not so obvious green dot that realmode still kept the marker while also keeping the icons that made the map pretty informative of the places the player explored. https://www.moddb.com/mods/realmode

I wonder if it's actually possible to use the realmode's player icon & map with redux. I also do hope Hunter would share the optional file on his moddb download page of Redux. Though if that doesn't turn out, you may be able to host the files on a public mediafire account and we can all just download straight from there.
