I pretty much unpacked the content from True Misery, grabbed the xml files i wanted and replaced them when i unpacked vanilla+, before packing everything in one patch file
I'd straight up disable DX10 in my mod if I knew it wouldn't have some weird side effect.
2) never tried True Misery, maybe that mod is unstable itself?
3) if you merge mods, the chances of crashes and issues increases, you´ll have to double check and make sure there aren´t any conflicts between the mods.
True Misery is based on Infamous Fusion, so it shouldn't be any less stable than that. I did play with it a bit and I couldn't spot anything that could possibly make the game unstable.
Mod is now released. Replace (dot) with . to download, of course.

Ah, dang. I'm 0 for 2 on choosing good hosts.

Okay, like I said I never tried that mod but just wanted to say that this game is rather complex, sometimes it may seem stable for a few hours and then all of a sudden you got problems .. maybe in the second map after lots of hours..
at least a full playthrough should be done before releasing, I know most good modders care to do that but not everyone, just saying..
another thing I forgot for the OP, when merging mods it is better to start a new game because old savefiles prior to the new modified content may create further issues and conflicts.
I haven't had any issues with using existing saves, EXCEPT if I edit any of the map sectors. I did that one time and the game would soft lock if I entered that sector. In that case you have to start a new game, not sure why that happens. But everything else is just editing values. The funny thing with that is, if you edit vehicle stats or weapon stats and use an exisiting save with that gun or car, it will keep the old stats until you switch cars or weapons.
The mods I’m considering are Redux or Tom’s Vanilla+ or Realism+
Tom’s seems to be the most modern and updated but I’ve heard good things about redux being the best.
I would like a detailed feature list to better understand the changes compared to your latest Redux, I just tried it for a couple of hours now but I it messed up my game lol
I was running a custom mash up of Redux and Tom mod myself and didn´t want to start a new game…
My mash up was basically Tom`s graphics and silent machete.. and pretty much Redux everything else.
I noticed that weapons are all messed up in the store now, seems you took how weapons are handled from Tom´s mod, anything else you took from Tom´s mod gameplaywise?
did you change stuff from latest Redux?
I just want to better understand all the changes...
Anyway, it looks good and plays fine, I just have to start a new game with this to properly judge but I think I will finish the run of my mash up first as I am not in the mood for restarting the game from scratch right now..
Oh, an option to have player position on map and short or long taxi ride would be nice, like you did for your latest Redux.
No pressure. I really just did make the mod for myself and decided to upload it online if by some chance anyone else liked it. I don't consider it the best by any means, Redux or Tom's mod is probably more balanced and faithful to the original game.
