I never even thought of this since I'm used to 90's games with only manual saving.
In contrast, during that glorious time iD released Quake III Arena, which was the first game I saw that didn't have a save option apart from the automatic save after reaching a new Tier.
Hey! Thanks for your query about auto saving. As others have advised Far cry 2 automatically assigns a 'Quick Save' option to the key F5.
There is no auto save option sorry. We can certainly pass your suggestion on though.
Thank you.

I'm imagining a fc2@ubi email address going unmonitored for 14 years, or a mail slot that leads directly to a paper shredder.
Like the AOL 'Complaint Dept.' - The actual web addy ended with "/Trash"
HATE auto saves - No save slots, no going back. want to replay your fave mission / level. SORRY - you'll have to start all over. - Played almost to the next save point and died in
the last few seconds? - SORRY - you'll have to go through the exact same nonsense
again and again until you've memorized AI and the only paths you can take to get
through to the next 'Trial By Trial-And-Error'. - Right.
That's NOT an improvement, It's developers being cheap in design and construction,
and it takes away all the options that manual saves provide.
SORRY! - It's NOT an improvement. - It's actually moving backwards in tech.
Nothing personal ! -
- Thanks for the Feed - 8 )
I certainly can't imagine anyone taking that information in to fix the current build but maybe some of these suggestions are collected somewhere as a reference in case a new project around Far Cry 2 pops up?
Oh hell yeah, in 5 years when they run out of ideas and "remake" Far Cry 2 with a levelling system, RPG elements, unnecessary crafting, half the enemies being inexplicably female for some reason and also all of them wearing bright red uniforms, being able to spot them through walls, and the faction leaders being turned into cartoony evil villians that have plans for world domination, removing malaria and gun degradation and jamming, accessories and stupid camo paints for guns, and then the game gets praised by everyone.
Don't worry, I trademarked this idea
TM
So once they do it I can sue them and made Ubisoft go bankrupt, then I can buy the Far Cry IP for 20 cents and rerelease the first game with the stupid monster sections removed.
Already done in 3, 4, 5 and 6. - Except for the new location - Disney World !
Yeah I know, that's why I said when they "remake" 2.
