Totally different genres.
People shouldn't be criticized for personal preferences. The subject is gaming, and
games differ as broadly one to another as people do. - You can tout merits and
deficiencies of each but comparing one to another carries little substance when
speaking of different species. Likes and dislikes are common among closest friends
and even identical twins.
Let us step back a pace and tout the pros and cons of the titles we like, and leave
the rest to enjoy what we ourselves cannot.
- Thanks for the feed -
I frankly don't see what's so great about dying over and over and memorizing enemy positions to try to avoid them, roll over a hundred times to dodge etc.
I said crap not in overall quality but in game mechanics. I don't think Dark Souls games are that difficulty either but they're extremely boring. You need to memorize enemy position and avoid combat something I hate to do in a game. This is what i can't understand why some people who criticize FC2 can play DS with no problems where the enemy respawns are much worse. It's almost like they hate combat but cant bother enough to avoid the outposts in FC while doing so to enemies in DS.
I'm just bashing these types of people who in my view are hypocrites.
To me it's seems like they don't care enough for the game in question FC2 or just don't like FPS games overall.
Let cooler heads prevail - they always do in the end, and apart from straying from
FC2 discussion this direction leads away from civil discussion.
Thanks for your input and consideration.
Let me be a little more plain. - I don't want you to get the wrong impression.
It's not that I disagree with you, at least in part - I don't. - But the premise for your
query need not be punctuated with personal smears that can only generate more
personal heat. - It distracts from the subject, and allows no chance for recognition
and mutual understanding to occur. - Worse - though it's not likely to happen in this
lightly populated forum - It often generates the snowball effect. - People take sides
and join in retaliatory posts. Even a relatively peaceful group can turn into a firestorm overnight.
Believe me, I have my own frustrations and criticisms about the world to deal with
and it would be easy to blow off some steam here (pun intended) and there are plenty
of big fat targets whose characters it would be easy and pleasurable to systematically
disect into their revealing motivational components. - But this is simply not the place.
There's enough conflict and strife, and most of us come here to get relief from that.
[[EDIT]]
If you remove all the heat you asked a perfectly valid question
I'm curious to know what makes FC2 intolerable in this instance -> ? ]]
Let's just try to keep it light and a bit more friendly.
- Thanks -
Since that's something that actually happens a lot I just felt the need to call out those who engage in this behavior but I'm not actually critizing the game(Dark Souls) and I couldn't be silent about it either.
unnecessary jabs like "crap" and "hypocrite". - Obviously not a genuine invitation to
civil discussion, but the exact opposite.
I understand your feelings, but when someone 'attacks' FC2 I don't take it personally,
I just respond with the facts and truth as I know it, and I don't respond with personal
remarks, only with the games merits. - That's all that's ever needed to 'defend' the
game, - if you really feel a need to 'defend' it. - For the most part I don't. - Peeps
always have their own ideas and one can't expect to change what another believes,
so just let go of that notion.
It's ok if someone hates the game - I don't care. The only reason to reply is to correct misconceptions and clarify. - Not for them but for any other new players reading.
There are enough checking in here just to start trouble, we don't need to generate
any more for ourselves.
- Thanks -
