Looking for a save file

Hello,

I have purchased FC2 on GOG last summer, but because of my HDD's malfunction I couldn't finish it and I lost my save file.
I want to get back into it, but I don't want to replay everything to the point where I stopped once again (it wouldn't be a first time..), so perhaps someone here have their own save file they could share with me?

I stopped pretty much 3-5 missions in, in the Bowa Seko region (the second in-game map if you can call it like that). I wouldn't mind replaying Bowa Seko region's missions, so a save file where you are just arrived, about to arrive, or a couple of missions in would be great.
I will probably buy it off Steam during summer sale just for the cloud synch, so next time I wouldn't need to bother about it.

Does anyone have one to share? Thanks.

For your information: there is no steam cloud functionality for any of the Far Cry. Far Cry 3 and above use Ubisoft's own cloud sync though.

Oh.. That's explain why my FarCry 4's save file is also gone and once I redownloaded it a few weeks ago, save wasn't recovered from the Steam's cloud. Thanks for info!

Thanks, friend. No need for anything fancy, no matter how much cash there is, or how many guns have been bought, I just don't want to replay half of the game to get to the point where I left it.

Thanks, friend. No need for anything fancy, no matter how much cash there is, or how many guns have been bought, I just don't want to replay half of the game to get to the point where I left it.

Heh! - I can't count how many times I've restarted at half way through the game.
(a required drawback of play-testing) - but I have a few million saves, and it should
be very easy to locate one at just the right place to pick up where you left off.

Do you remember anything about that final mission? - Any small detail might help
in that regard.

A few millions? May I ask you why? Are you a member of some kind of support community or something? I'm just curious lol.
Well, all I remember at the moment that last missions was one where I was on that freighter, ship, boat, or whatever you may call that thing. I had to defend it from enemies who were using their own battle boats, shooting mortars and attacking from the shore. It was big, bulky square shaped ship that I had to defend. Oh, one more thing, I remember there was a missions either before the boat, or after, where I went to the center of the map, to that town where faction leaders are located I believe, there is a doctor you work for if my memory servers me well. So, I remember that there was a huge firefight going on and I had to leave trough back door or something and run for my dear life out of that town.

That's all I remember.

Very glad to help - Not part of any 'group' exactly - I set up the FC2Crew group to
archive helpful info in the game, and I wished I had forums when I started playing
FPS's but nothing like that existed back then. Love this game so much that I've
committed to helping peeps get the most with the least trouble. - Half that time
has been spent trying to explain why the game doesn't 'suck'. < sigh > So
always glad to help those who've actually figured that out ; )

Well, Far Cry 2 is the best Far Cry. The third is amazing as well, it's more colourful and has great characters, has it's great moments, but FarCry2 is what made this whole franchise stand out. I hope Far Cry 6 will not disappoint.

Do you have any experience in modding FC2? I downloaded Tom's Vanilla Plus, but I can't figure out how to install extra customisation files, as instructions are unclear.
