1. That's a good point about the weapon distribution. Maybe I should revisit this, making the later weapons more rare early on.
2. Like Fox said, this is an "issue" with the game, not the mod. Unfortunately, you really do have to do some meta gaming to see every mission in a single play through.
3. Add a 2nd gun, or swap the machine gun with a grenade launcher?
4. That's just flavor text.
Did you play on Infamous Redux difficulty? It's not punishing, but it should present a decent challenge. It's what I designed the mod around.
If you decide to play again, 3.0 has some new features and characters.

In redux, this mechanic relies on a piece of code that is only triggered on a new game.
I would urge you to take a closer look at weapon distribution, because it really throws the balance off. The early game can feel a little overwhelming, particularly for less experienced players and the later game is comparatively easy. Also immersion suffers as I questioned why they had received a downgrade in weapons, when in the story more weapons are being shipped in and the conflict is intensifying.
So to complete all missions, I have to allow some of the mercenaries to die? This really goes against the sprit of the game and its healing and rescue dynamic.
I don't know what specifics you are capable of, but improving the fishing boat so that whilst is slow it packs heavier fire power to compensate. The amphibious equivalent of the assault truck, shall we say.
Those new improvements look really great. When I play again, I will definitely use this mod.
Keep up the good work.
I don't think the devs intended for the player to do every buddy mission in a single run. Certainly not on a first run. If you've beaten the game, then you would know what's up and that might incentivize the player to eliminate buddies after their missions are done, but it's such a specific, calculated process that really conflicts with the chaos of FC2.
Glad you liked it, and thanks again for the feedback.
Hey man, first of thanks for making this mod. It feels really good to play so far. But I have one issue: framedrops. I have it caped at 60 and v-sync on but it frequently drops to 55-50fps and in some places even to 40-45. Anything I can do about this?
Even though it's 12 years old, it's still not very well optimized. I haven't encountered many, if any drops into the 40s, but I'll see some into the mid 50s some times on a GTX 970.
I would first try turning AA down. 2X is plenty in this game, IMO. If that doesn't help enough, experiment with switching some GFX settings to Very High instead of ultra.
Well yes I play on Ultra, like basically everybody is at this point. I don't know man, I mean I have a i7 6700, 16gb RAM and a 1060 6gb and before installing the mod I NEVER had ANY framedrops whatsoever, 100% of the time PINNED on 60fps. And as far as I know the mod doesn't enhance anything related to graphics, at least it looks exacly the same as before (except the fps drops). I'll try some of your sugestions but that should not be happening.
Which DX are you using? I recommend everyone use DX9.
I have increased things like the amount of physics objects, sun shadow range, and pop in distance, among other things, on Ultra.
Is there a specifc part of the map that causes this?
Also, do the Vanilla+ or FC2.5 mods cause the same drops?
Hi, thanks for the reply. At the begining it was mostly in the no fire zone but it happens kind of randomly sometimes.
I'm using DX9, I tried turning AA to x2 and shadow quality to medium and it's a lot better now but not totaly gone.
In other games I can most of the time notice what the issue is like, if it happens in a dense jungle area most of the time it's the shadows. But here it also happens in areas where nothing is really going on.
And another question, is there a way to disable the "holster weapon" feature? Don't get me wrong I really like fps games that have that feature but it's a bit annoying because after healing up in a gunfight it just holsters the gun and makes me draw it manualy which makes it a bit fiddly in tense moments.
But so far I love your mod. And thank you for making the "AR-16" full auto and have a smaller red dot sight!
I loved FC2 since day one but it really is a buggy mess of a game. So again thank you for fixing/improving so many things in this game since ubisoft didn't give a F U C K.
Just documenting this in more than one place for public record. Please ignore unless you have any questions.

The Far Cry 2 Redux mod author "BigTinz"(Steam user aka "Hunter") and his angry selfish mobs are abusing the report bottom on the Far Cry 2 New Dunia mod and if you wish to have the best experience out of Far Cry 2, you can found the latest version of New Dunia mod here:

There's no abuse taking place. I've been in modding communities for years and this is the first time i see something like this. Maybe it's time for you to move to another hobby.
