Far Cry 2

How do I install Far Cry 2 New Dunia
The version that I downloaded is 2.0.0 and the thing is that I can't figure it out how do I install the sound mods, as long with the new textures and those type of things, since in the zip file (Install) there's only two files to install that are patch.fat and patch.dat and there is a "Reference Docs" that have a lots of files but I don't know how to install/use it.

Go to "Install \ Main MOD \ NewDunia DX9", there are 2 files you need to place in your Far Cry 2 folder. I recommend you to actually backup the original patch files by either renaming them or moving them to a different location. Do not forget to change DirectX 9 within the game's graphics menu.

But the thing is, how do I install the sounds, new textures, etc...? Since they are on the .zip file.

Still needing help to install the mod.

Rule of thumb is to search for the corresponding file within the game's folders and replacing them.

But I can't find the "Reference Docs" files in the game folder. So I really don't know what to do.
Right now I'm playing with Redux version, so yeah.

Reference docs i assume is documentation that comes with the mod. You can either read or ignore them.

There is actually proper files there like .xml ones and config files. So there is nothing to read there..

xml files should be in
Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2

You really have to download the mod.
I can't really explain what is in there since there are so many files.

Reference Docs folder shows what's been modified by the author. These are already included in the modded patch.fat and are left there as a reference for other modders.

All FC2 modding is done by copying the contents of the bin and or data32 folder into your install directory.

Ignore the ref doc folder. It's for people who want to inspect the unpacked mod.

The bink and eax .dlls go to your bin folder. Everything needed for this mod will prompt you to overwrite.

This is cool mod, but heads up, the new "ultra" settings will shred most folks FPS.

Hi, I'm the creator of the Far Cry 2 New Dunia mod, to install the mod you only need to replace the original "patch.dat" and "patch.fat" with the modded one.

The enhancement .DLL and .INI goes to the corresponding files folder.(either it's in "BIN" or "Data32")

And Hunter and Virago are right, the doc folder(reference files) is for people who want to inspect the unpacked mod.(also to create their own mod with my mod as a template)

Hope this helps!
