Mod Tools
I get a lot of questions about tweaking existing mods, and folks wanting to make their own from scratch.

There are some really good tools out there, all based on Rick's (Gibbed) efforts. Unfortunately, many of these are based on earlier versions that contain a serious flaw that will cause a mod to crash.

For archive purposes, I've uploaded a custom mashup of existing tools that should provide a balance between access and stability.

These tools do not include the "enhanced" filelists or definitions from the Enhanced Gibbed Tools, but they also don't have the bugs.

For graphics (.xbt/.dds), or .rml/.bin stuff, Fino's Dunia Tools is still the way to go.

BUMP! - Jeez, I meant to thank you when you first posted this.. don't know what happened..
Surprised that there were zero replies, but I guess that happens with many posts that don't actually ask a question.. ?

Not ready to take the leap myself yet, but this is very helpful for anyone who is.

Great, Thanks! - But yo know I can be the king of stupid questions - or too lazy to look up the answers 4 myself sometimes. - Embarrassed to rely on te kindness of strangers ; )

A fine and necessary contribution, have so little in the Tech / Mod departments.

About a year ago I ran into the problem of objects I needed to interact with not appearing in the game. When I get to the first bar, the guy I need to talk to isnt there. There were some other problems too. Does Redux fix that? I think it was an all-around problem with Windows 10, refresh rate, and resolution. Ive been itching to play this again

You need to use this -https://steamcommunity.com/app/19900/guides/#scrollTop=0

Redux should run fine for you, and I have tweaked a few things under the hood to help. That said, the fixer posted above should let you run any modded or vanilla version of FC2 without error.
