As this game has LAN multiplayer support, we were used to play through Tunngle, but Tunngle were shutdown recently. Then we moved to EvolveHQ, and now EvolveHQ will be shutdown next November.
So we're now joining a Hamachi network to play it online.

There's a guide
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1575934075
It fixes Far Cry 2 multiplayer issues for newer versions of Windows, like the "9999" ping issue.
Coming soon. Let me know if anyone is interested.
BTW: We've been playing this game (with the fix) for the last year or so without any issues.

Here I leave the link of the patch: https://github.com/halvors/FC2MPPatcher/releases
Thank you, for you and your friend for this magnificent contribution, since it has made it much easier for me and others to play multiplayer.
