I would mind. Why would you support Ubisoft to adopt the methods of Activision?
Don't you think the company is stinky enough?
If it would be seperated it would be $70 and $40
There is an obvious issue for people that only want the remaster. Why would they need to buy a game they don't want, other than to increase publishers profits? And why would you even think that's the pricing they would go with? They are already selling FC5 alone in gold edition for those $90. And there is little chance and no indication they are working on FC2 remaster to have it ready in less than two months.
It's a good compromise, I think, for those that hate traveling and those that want to keep the game immersive.
Also, some improved night time lighting would be very welcome; something that more resembles the promotional screenshots. (I can't believe they are still selling the game based on that B.S. For shame.)
And for my opinion, I at least have the pricing history or Ubisoft of their games that's pretty much the same for years now. Most publishers are not happy with just $60 for the game. It's pretty clear Ubisoft is one of them, with their silver and gold editions. They want extra revenue either from DLC or MTs, these days even both in more and more games.
The base price for FC5 is also $60, not $70. It's 60€ here for example, but that's regional pricing. The game alone is also $35 in Russia and $40 in China. Oh, I forgot, only you only care about yourself. Since you are fine with people having to buy a game they don't want as long as you are fine with it.
P.S. There is also no reason why there couldn't be a bundle with a discount and standalone for full price so everyone can choose as opossed to everyone having to buy both regardless if they want to play the remaster alone, or both. Than again, why think of others, right?
But yeah, just as you said: I don't care about anyone else.
When I cared about other people they stopped caring about me. They're like I never existed.
There's always a guy that HAS to have a different opinion than the others. It's fine to have other opinion but when someone likes a game like other people and starts to hate it just because he wants to be THAT guy....
Other people I met in online games are salty. They get salty when I kill them and they'll taunt me when they kill me.
Other breed of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are salty kids. When I see them teabag I want to go to their house and beat them to death. They wouldn't stand a chance since their only life is online life. They think they're funny / good because they're standing on one place I can hardly see and they'll kill me through a small gap with thermal sights.
And lastly...kids that show off their cosmetics and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Do they honestly think they're good? Because they're not. They're just showing how spoiled they are because their mother will give them her credit card and there he gets another bayonet | doppler phase 23408502385 with float 01942109.102940981287019244081234747081243737.
So yeah, that's why I don't care about other people. I'm not saying other people can't have their opinion or that just because I want fc5 + fc2r then Ubisoft should do it. (I know it isn't even possible but that was just "suggestion" or whatever.)
It seems that they avoid focusing on modern wars and conflicts now in favour of fictional settings. The wars of Yemen or Libya would work well for another Far Cry game.
Who? I am not hating on any game. Just because some people don't want to buy FC5, doesn't
mean the game is bad. Every game has its audience, and there are many types of games.
Not my thing honestly. I saw someone teabag me in Bf4 and honestly, I started laughing. It's a game, it's pixels. And I am not salty. I am just sharing my opinion, like you.
There are not many people like that and most of them are just immature so they will hopefully get over it, aka grow up. That's pretty bad representation of society in general or group as large as gamers.
Cosmetics overall aren't bad. Same with wanting to share and be proud about a skin someone likes. Skins are there to enhance the enjoyment of the game for many people. That's why the are so priftable.
But as many aspects of gaming, it has been twisted by publishers to maximize revenue. Stuff like crates, artificial rarities, and item quality. Instead of just having plain simple skins sold for prices they are actually worth, given the game's monetization. F2P games have more expensive skins obviously. PoE for example has rather expensive ones. But the free support is one of the best of any F2P game. Adding free expansions, items, patches and other stuff.
Like I said, don't have to care for people like they are you friends, just to be against publishers exploiting consumers. I am after all consumer too. If we know anything about publishers, it's that they are always pushing what they can get away with, slowly more and more.
The crates I mentioned for example, have imo no worth from the consumer prespective. It's poor mans gambling in most cases. Well, poor. People can spend insane amounts on it anyway. In Kf1 you were buying skins 4 for $2, than one with voice overs for $5. Weapon skins 4 for $8. In Kf2 thanks to crates single weapon skin is $10 and cosmetics too outside of couple of bundles for $5. Prices on the market go exponentially higher.
That's one example. There is also Shadow of War, Battlefront 2 and some Ubi games to name a few. Other things like on-disc DLC, pre-cut - ehm - pre-order DLC bonuses, or DLC that offers 10% extra content for 25% games price. It has little to do with one another overal. But publishers see it from prespective or trying to get away with with as much as possible all the time more and more little by little. Right now we have a backpeddaling stage after Battlefront 2. The good publisers now can give us crates that are "only" cosmetic.
Another game like FC2 would be great. But location wise, we are in the current year. PC is probably one reason why FC5 is in US shooting white fanatics. Not that I care. Just that they don't get a huge backlash. Resident Evil 5 was racist because the infected in africa were black. And something like that would carry a way bigger ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in our "current year" climate.
Feeling proud about a cosmetic that your parents bought is not ok so that's why I was talking about it. (again, I'm not talking about you exactly.)
Teabaging is honestly immature, unfunny and childish imo. I don't see why anyone would do it. That's just pure disrespect and some people don't take it as a joke (like me).
I will probably delete this discussion since I'm getting spammed with notifications so I wanted to clear some things up.
edit: nvm guess I can't do that...
