Fortunes Pack and other DLC

I just recently bought this game and was givin a code for the Fortunes Pack and after going to additonal content I had to sign into ubisoft, then enter the code. How do I know if the code worked? After booting up far cry 2 for a second time it showed the same code saying to copy or write it down before I could launch it, does this mean it didnt work? Also, do you recieve the predeccor tapes for buying the game bundled with the fortunes pack, if so, how do I know if I have access to them?

The fortunes pack is activated by starting the game. the "aditional content" is like new machete types and the intel inside missions sponsored by intel.

So I found the 3 unlockable weapons in the armory after buying my first gun, I also found where to switch what type of machete is used in the menu, how do I know if I have access to the Predecessor tapes?

You should get a phone call after the 1 mission or tutorial
