Can I get some help with setting up Reshade?

I installed it and placed the shader preset I downloaded next to the Reshade.ini file but when I switched to the installed preset it didn't change anything. Do I have to install it for DirectX 10 and use DX10?

So I got this game for nostalgia but I wanted to play with mods. More specffically graphics mods however everytime I drop a mod in the directory it instantly breaks the game. I tried sweet effects real Africa and GES. I have been trying and trying at least 20 times in the last 24 hours and keep restoring the game files and trying again and again. Its extermely frustrating and time consuming.

The game either doesnt start up and I have to reset my pc because the game gets stuck on a boot loop or I get this system 32 d3d11.dll error. Any help would be GREATLY apreciated .

It's not working :(

It gives me the splash screen error. I tried restoring NVidia's config and it didn't work.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have Windows 10 and 1080ti btw.

Go to your game folder (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/FarCry2, search for dxgi.dll and rename it to d3d11.dll. Worked for me.

I figured out that certain presets require dx 10 so I just made my own custom preset in dx 9 instead.
